About the Role
We are seeking aSuccessFactors Compensation &Variable Pay Leadto drive the design, configuration, and delivery of compensation and variable pay solutions within a complex, global enterprise operating acrossmultiple business clusters, legal entities, and joint ventures.
The role will lead the end-to-end delivery ofSAP SuccessFactors Compensation and Variable Pay modulesacross multiple instances, ensuring alignment with global compensation strategies, local regulatory requirements, and evolving business needs.
Key Responsibilities
1. Compensation & Variable Pay Solution Design
- Lead thedesign and configurationof SAP SuccessFactors Compensation and Variable Pay modules across multiple instances.
- Defineglobal compensation templates, plans, and workflowswhile accommodating regional and legal entity variationsincluding documented region-specific plan variations (proration logic, payout calendars, plan suspension/redesign scenarios).
- Translate compensation strategy and business rules intoscalable, configurable solutions.
- Design and implementsalary planning, bonus programs, and merit-based pay structures; assess and document SF capability boundariesfor executive compensation, anddefine integration/handoff requirements for external vendors.
2. Multi-Instance Strategy & Harmonization
- Drivecompensation solution harmonizationacross multiple SAP SF instances.
- Identify opportunities forstandardization of compensation plans, guidelines, and eligibility rulesacross clusters.
- Establish governance standards forconfiguration management, testing, and release cycles.
3. Variable Pay & Incentive Program Delivery
- Design and delivervariable pay programsincluding annual bonuses, sales incentives, spot awards, and performance-linked payouts
- Configureeligibility rules, proration logic, funding models, and payout calculations
- Ensure alignment betweenvariable pay design and business performance frameworks, including configuration of integration with Performance & Goals Management to consume calibration outputs in variable pay worksheets
4. Integration & Data Architecture
- Define integration requirements between Compensation/Variable Pay and:
- Employee Central (job, org, pay data)
- Performance Management (ratings, calibration outputs)
- Payroll and finance systems
- Ensuredata accuracy, consistency, and auditabilityacross compensation flows
- Supportdata migration and conversionactivities for compensation-related data
5. Compliance, Governance & Reporting
- Ensure compensation solutions comply withlocal labor laws, pay equity regulations, and internal policies
- Design and delivercompensation analyticsincluding SAP SuccessFactors Reports (SAP-delivered suite),executive dashboards, and ad hoc reporting.
- Supportaudit readinessthrough proper documentation and controls
6. Stakeholder Management & Team Leadership
- Partner withHR, Total Rewards, Finance, and IT stakeholdersacross regions
- Lead and mentor a team of functional consultants and analysts
- Driveworkshops, requirement gathering, and solution walkthroughswith business and technical teams
- Act as thesubject matter expert (SME)for all compensation and variable pay related decisions
7. Business Value Realization
- Align solution design to core business outcomes:
- Improved accuracy and efficiency in compensation cycles
- Reduced manual effort and processing time
- Enhanced data quality to support pay equity and analytics
- Improved employee and manager experience during compensation events
- Establish KPIs and value tracking mechanisms
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field
- Minimum 10–15 years of experience in SAP, with strong expertise in SuccessFactors Employee Payroll and HCM related functions
- Proven track record of leading workstreams in at least one end-to-end SAP implementation or transformation program
- Demonstrated ability to lead stakeholder workshops and manage complex requirements
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
