WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Design, develop, and maintain APIs using Ruby on Rails;

- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand API requirements and specifications;

- Ensure API performance, scalability, and security;

- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code;

- Participate in code reviews and technical discussions;

- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize API performance.

MUST HAVES

-3+ years of experience working withRuby on Rails;

- Strong command of API design patterns and best practices in Rails;

- Solid understanding of HTTP protocols and JSON data structures;

- Experience with relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL);

- Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows;

- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a remote setup;

- In terms of working hours: The role will mostly follow theLATAM time zone, with a required 4-hour overlap with Colorado (MDT),for Europe-based candidates, a minimum of 2-hour overlap with MDT is required — thoughthe more overlap, the better;

NICE TO HAVES

-Experience with background job processing (e.g. Sidekiq);

- Familiarity with API documentation tools (Swagger/OpenAPI);

- Exposure to Docker or other container technologies;

- Experience working with distributed teams.
