Southern Cross University is seeking a Research Analytics Data Coordinator to turn complex research data into reliable insights that support performance, reporting, and decision-making across the University.
The role spans the data lifecycle, combining analytics, SQL, BI tools, and stakeholder engagement to develop pipelines, dashboards and reporting solutions while optimizing the Research Management System.

As our Research Analytics Data Coordinator within the Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor Research, you’ll turn complex research data into reliable insights that support research performance, reporting and decision-making across the University. Working across the research data lifecycle, you’ll combine strong data analytics, SQL, business intelligence and database skills with an understanding of stakeholder needs to develop data pipelines, dashboards and reporting solutions, while helping optimise the University's Research Management System.

You’re a technically minded data professional who enjoys working with complex datasets, solving problems and finding better ways to turn data into useful information. You’ll bring an analytical mindset, strong database and data pipeline capability, and the ability to work confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
To succeed in this role, you will also need:
It’s not essential, but we’d love it if you had experience with Python, research administration or research management systems, or working with research data in a higher education, health, government or large not-for-profit environment. Experience with AI and automation tools would also be advantageous.
