KingAgroot CropScience 清原作物科学 in Campinas, Brazil, seeks a Regulatory and Trade Compliance Lead to manage import, export, and domestic logistics for biological materials supporting R&D and Regulatory teams.

Initially an individual contributor, the role will design and implement cross-border material movement, ensure MAPA compliance, and serve as the technical reference for trade and phytosanitary requirements.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Agronomy, Biology, Biotechnology, International Trade) is required.
• Solid hands-on experience in import/export operations within agriculture, with seeds focus.
• Deep knowledge of MAPA regulations, phytosanitary requirements, post-entry quarantine and domestic transit rules.
• Proven ability to work autonomously, build processes from the ground up, and advise scientific teams.

Responsabilidades

• Lead end-to-end import/export processes for biological materials, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Act as primary interface with Brazilian authorities, esp. MAPA, handling permits and certificates.
• Oversee secure domestic transport and logistics between R&D sites, labs, and field trials in Brazil.
• Collaborate with internal R&D and Regulatory Affairs to streamline material flow for research and biosafety trials.
• Manage external partners including customs brokers and logistics providers to ensure compliance and speed.
• Create internal SOPs for trade compliance, traceability, and material handling.

This role leads the import, export, and domestic logistics for biological materials to support the R&D and Regulatory teams in Brazil. Operating initially as a high-level individual contributor, the Regulatory and Trade Compliance Lead will be the technical reference within the company, responsible for designing, compliance-checking, and executing the cross-border and domestic movement of research materials from scratch.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute the end-to-end import and export processes biological materials, ensuring full compliance with Brazilian and international trade regulations.
• Act as the primary technical interface with Brazilian authorities, particularly MAPA (Ministério da Agricultura e Pecuária) managing import permits (LI), and phytosanitary certificates.
• Oversee and coordinate the secure, compliant domestic transport and logistics of biological materials between R&D sites, laboratories, and field trial sites in Brazil.
• Partner closely with internal R&D and Regulatory Affairs teams to streamline the flow of materials needed for research, breeding, and biosafety trials.
• Manage external partners, including customs brokers, specialized logistics providers, and laboratories, to ensure speed and regulatory compliance in all operations.
• Establish internal standard operating procedures (SOPs) for trade compliance, traceability, and material handling within the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Biology, Biotechnology, International Trade, or related disciplines.
• Solid hands-on experience in import/export operations within the agricultural sector, with a strong focus on seeds.
• Deep knowledge of MAPA regulations, phytosanitary requirements, post-entry quarantine procedures, and domestic transit rules for biological materials.
• Proven ability to work autonomously, build processes from the ground up, and act as a strategic advisor to scientific teams.
