Nufarm is seeking a Trait Development Team Leader to guide molecular biology and plant biotechnology projects in collaboration with IAC. The role focuses on producing transgenic events and overseeing the pipeline from greenhouse to field for sugar cane, energy cane and sorghum, with leadership of a science team and external partnerships.

Qualificações

• PhD in molecular biology or related field.

We are looking for a Trait Development Team Leader to join our team and transform science into applied field solutions.

What will you do here?

You will work in collaboration with the Product Development Team and the Agronomic Institute of Campinas (IAC), contributing directly to projects in molecular biology and plant biotechnology.

In Your Scope Of Work, You Will

• To produce transgenic events in sugar cane, energy cane and sorghum for the development of commercial products.
• Responsible to the pipeline for production, selection, and testing of transgenic events from greenhouse through field for the target crops and traits of interest.
• Responsible for the supervision of scientists in the areas of biochemical analytics, plant physiology, and plant phenotyping.
• To ensure the team performs good experimental design practices and develops and implements biochemical analysis of transgenic plants, and coordination of activities with external partners.

What do we expect from you?

Technical Requirements

• Ph.D in Molecular Biology, Plant Biotechnology, Genetics, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in the industry.
• Leadership experience managing teams of scientists in the relevant areas of expertise described above.
• Fluent English (written and verbal communication skills in Portuguese and English).
• Strong experience in vector design, gene expression analysis, and molecular assay development, including high-throughput assay platforms.
• Availability to work in person in Ribeirão Preto/SP, Brazil.
