Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a qualified professional to provide technical expertise in tendering and pre-ITO activities for Protection and Control products. You will interface with Sales and Application Engineering, analyze client needs, define product scope, and prepare costed technical descriptions for bids.

The role requires basic engineering experience and knowledge of P&C; fluency in English is expected, with Spanish/other languages a plus.

Tendering activities (technical solution, cost and price management, tecnical and commercial offers preparation for the Protection and Control and Networking/Communication segments)

Job Description Essencial Responsibilities

Provides technical expertise and develops technical solutions (configuration, performance estimation, economics, etc.) as part of the pre-ITO (requisition) process while interfacing with the commercial (Sales, Application Engineering) team. Possess a good understanding of relevant markets and customer economic value that aid winning bid strategies Technical analysis of client needs: definition and optimization of the products; scope (description); customer delivery schedule; factory delivery schedule; incoterms; cost, considering contract and internal policies and procedures. Calculation of equipment performance and efficiency. Documentation of technical specifications & costing elements for further contract execution phases. Developing conceptual knowledge of professional discipline. May include support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in broad area. Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience. Understands how work of own team contributes to the area. Resolves issues using established procedures. Consults supervisor or more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters. Collaborates with others to solve issues. When applicable, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Exchanges technical information, asks questions and checks for understanding. Prepares offers (Technical and Commercial) with focus on Protection and Control (P&C) Products such as Digital relays, Bay Controllers, Merging Units, Network Switches, GPS Time Servers, Digital Fault Recorders, Telecom wireless radios, among others equipment used on Substation Automation for the GTD energy market.

Required Qualifications

This role requires basic experience in the Electrical Engineering/Technology/Automation & Customer Application Engineering. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college. Knowledge of Protection and Control is required Experience in the Commercial area English language proficiency: Reading Know how to work in a demanding environment and how to react quickly to urgent requests Organized and process focused mindset
