Job summary

Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company, seeks a Mid-level QA Test Automation engineer in Brazil. You will blend manual testing with automated test development across mobile, web, and API platforms, aiming for high-quality software.

You will build and maintain mobile automation using Appium, Robot Framework, and Cucumber, while collaborating with developers, product teams, and other QA specialists. AI-powered tools will be explored to boost productivity and quality.

Qualifications

• Solid professional experience in software quality assurance and test automation.
• Hands‑on experience automating mobile tests with Appium; familiarity with Android Studio and Xcode.
• Experience with Robot Framework and Cucumber, including BDD.
• Knowledge of testing across mobile, web, and API layers; familiarity with Agile (Scrum/Kanban).

As a mid-level QA Test Automation professional, you will combine manual testing, automated test development, and investigative problem-solving to ensure consistent product quality across mobile, web, and API platforms. You will build and maintain automated testing solutions for Android and iOS applications while contributing to functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing. Working closely with developers, product managers, technical leads, and other QA professionals, you will help identify defects early and strengthen quality practices throughout the development lifecycle. You will also explore AI-powered tools to improve productivity and testing efficiency while applying sound judgment to validate results and protect sensitive information. Accountabilities

• Analyze business requirements and user stories, collaborating with stakeholders to define clear, measurable acceptance criteria.

• Plan, design, and execute manual and automated test cases across functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing scenarios.

• Develop, enhance, and maintain automated tests for mobile applications on Android and iOS, as well as front-end, back-end, and API systems.

• Use Appium and related development tools to create reliable mobile test automation workflows.

• Document test execution evidence thoroughly, including screenshots, logs, and screen recordings, to support reproducibility and traceability.

• Identify, report, and track defects with clear descriptions, detailed reproduction steps, and relevant technical evidence.

• Integrate generative AI tools into daily testing workflows to improve productivity, streamline repetitive tasks, and enhance delivery quality.

• Participate actively in agile team ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.

• Collaborate with developers, technical leads, product teams, and fellow QA professionals to maintain quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of Quality Engineering practices, automation frameworks, testing pipelines, and delivery processes.

Requirements:

• Solid professional experience in software quality assurance and test automation.

• Hands‑on experience automating mobile application tests using Appium, with practical familiarity with Android Studio and Xcode.

• Experience with testing frameworks and approaches such as Robot Framework and Cucumber, including Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).

• Knowledge of test planning, design, and execution across multiple layers, including mobile applications, web interfaces, and APIs.

• Familiarity with agile methodologies and team practices, particularly Scrum and Kanban.

• Strong investigative thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to identify root causes of defects and communicate findings effectively.

• Excellent organization, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering reliable, high-quality software.

• Interest in adopting generative AI tools in everyday work, with the critical thinking needed to validate AI-generated outputs and protect sensitive data.

• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to shared quality goals.

The following qualifications are considered an advantage:

• Experience integrating automated tests into continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.

• Previous experience in healthcare technology, healthtech, or telecommunications projects.

• A completed or ongoing university degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
