Objective of the role

To uphold high standards of quality and reliability in our software products through expert-level API and UI testing, utilizing advanced automation frameworks and tools.

What will your role as a QA Engineer look like?

You will bring expertise in designing and executing automation test frameworks for UI and backend testing, focusing on web applications built in JavaScript and REST APIs in Go, Java, and Node, using modern tools and scalable strategies. Your responsibilities include crafting and running automation scripts for Java API testing, building reusable test automation frameworks, collaborating with developers and QA engineers, and maintaining quality assurance to deliver excellent user experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain automated test frameworks for UI and backend systems.
• Develop and execute integration and performance tests for web applications.
• Create internal tools that integrate into our CI/CD pipeline for automation of quality checks.
• Collaborate with developers to embed testing throughout the development process.
• Participate in technical discussions and code reviews.
• Identify system weaknesses and edge cases through proactive testing.
• Mentor QA team members and enhance backend testing techniques.
• Stay updated with the latest testing tools, frameworks, and best practices, especially in Cypress.

Essential Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
• Proficiency in automated testing tools like Cypress, Playwright, or similar.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript for test script development.
• Ability to test UI systems built in Vue or React.
• Experience with automated API testing tools such as Postman, RestAssured, Karate, or custom frameworks.
• Ability to test backend systems built in Java, Go, or Node.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Experience with performance testing tools like k6, JMeter, Gatling, Artillery, or Locust.
• Proven experience in building scalable and reusable test frameworks.
• Experience working in Agile teams and participating in technical discussions.
• Familiarity with version control, collaboration tools, and test management.

Nice to have

• Experience testing applications with authentication protocols like OAuth2 and JWT.
• Interest in mentoring and knowledge sharing.
• Experience with visual regression testing.
