Purpose of the Job

Oxitec Brazil is at the forefront of advancing innovative biological pest control technologies to save lives and improve livelihoods. Known throughout Brazil for our innovative Aedes do Bem technology, we are now seeking highly motivated Field Technicians who are passionate about biological insect control to be part of our team in Brazil, based in Campinas-SP. The next members of the Field Operations team in Brazil must have strong teamwork skills, resilience, flexibility, a spirit of cooperation, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

1. Handling of insects, eggs, larvae, and adults in the laboratory and/or monitoring traps and service devices in the field;
2. Record data accurately in laboratory notebooks and digital applications;
3. Occasional support for experiments on weekends as part of a rotation within the team;
4. Support for other activities in the laboratory or field, such as public engagement, quality control, and organization and general maintenance of the work environment.

Skills, Experience, and Education Requirements

1. Technical degree or attending college in Biology or related areas;
2. Time flexibility - for weekends and holidays.
