We are looking for a skilled and analytical Product Data Analyst to drive data-informed decision-making across mobile applications. In this role, you will take ownership of product analytics, exploring user behavior, activation, feature adoption, engagement, and retention. You will transform complex datasets into actionable insights that help product teams improve user experiences and business performance. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of digital products within an international, remote-first, and collaborative environment.

Accountabilities:
  • Own product analytics for assigned mobile applications, monitoring key metrics such as user activation, feature adoption, onboarding drop-off, engagement, and retention.
  • Translate product-related questions into structured analytical investigations, delivering clear insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Build and maintain funnel, cohort, and retention analyses using large-scale event datasets in BigQuery.
  • Collaborate with product managers and engineering teams to define event tracking strategies, implement instrumentation plans, and perform tracking quality assurance.
  • Design, analyze, and evaluate A/B tests, from hypothesis development and measurement planning through results interpretation and stakeholder presentations.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize SQL queries and dbt models to support reliable reporting, data analysis, and business intelligence.
  • Integrate AI-powered tools into daily analytical workflows to write and review queries, automate recurring reports, and accelerate insight generation.
  • Create and maintain dashboards and self-service reporting solutions that empower product teams to monitor performance independently.
  • Identify data anomalies, inconsistencies, and integrity issues, taking ownership of resolving them or escalating them to the appropriate teams.
  • Present analytical findings to non-technical stakeholders through clear, concise, and compelling narratives.
  • Proactively identify emerging trends, product opportunities, and areas for improvement through continuous data exploration.
  • Collaborate with product, marketing, and engineering teams in a distributed, asynchronous-friendly working environment.
Requirements:
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in Product Analytics, Data Analytics, or a related analytical role.
  • Strong SQL proficiency, including Common Table Expressions (CTEs), window functions, complex joins, and query optimization for large datasets.
  • Hands-on experience with BigQuery and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Working knowledge of dbt and modern data modeling practices.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, with practical experience in funnel analysis, cohort analysis, retention measurement, and event-based product analytics.
  • Experience with A/B testing methodologies, including hypothesis formulation, sample size calculations, statistical significance, and results interpretation.
  • Programming skills, preferably in Python, to support advanced analysis, automation, and tasks beyond SQL.
  • Regular use of AI-powered tools in analytical workflows, including query development, automation, and insight generation.
  • Experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools such as Looker Studio (formerly Data Studio), Amazon QuickSight, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex analytical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Adaptability and comfort working with ambiguity, evolving priorities, and changing business requirements.
  • Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively in an international environment.
  • Availability to overlap with US Eastern business hours for at least four hours per working day.
  • Strong attention to detail, proactive problem-solving abilities, curiosity, and a continuous learning mindset.

Nice to have:

  • Previous experience working in a mobile application company.
  • Familiarity with consumer applications using advertising-based monetization or subscription business models.

Benefits:
