Job Summary:
As a CCE Product Consultant supporting the South America region, you will provide product and application expertise to the field sales rep teams and dealers to support prime product with attachment sales execution and alignment (i.e. task, tool, machine). You will also provide significant support to the Product Group and New Product Introduction (NPI) Managers during various NPI phases in terms of voice of the customer collection/communication, development of functional specifications and critical customer requirements. You will also be very engaged in competitive tests and analysis.
CCE (Compact Construction Equipment (Compact & Skid Steer Loaders, Micro & Mini Hydraulic Excavators, Compact Wheeled Loader 90X))

What you will do:
Responsible for applying decisions to support and develop product sales, dealer effectiveness, overall segment growth, NPI process, process improvement, sales management process improvement, etc. You will apply your knowledge of products, technology, industry, etc., in support of Caterpillar, dealer and customer expectations and needs and contribute to strategic planning.

• Support Sales Execution: Provide product and application expertise to the field sales rep teams and dealers to support prime product and work tool sales execution, price realization and improved value proposition
• Responsible for developing and delivering product and application training to field reps, dealers & customers
• Identify, manage and provide reports on competitive performance studies, feature/benefit comparisons and maintenance and repair cost analysis
• Support New CCE Product Introduction Development: Provides significant input to CCE Product Group and NPI team(s) for next generation product development activities.
• Assist in defining and placing value on new product features, functional and technical specifications, and general product requirements
• Provide CCE Product Group with industry-specific trends based on customers’ operational data and benchmarking
• Respond and/or action dealer requests and product queries in a timely manner
• Support in territory trade shows, being the face of Caterpillar representing CCE products.

What skills you will have:

Develops a cooperative work relationship with others inside the department and especially field sales organizations, dealers and customers.
• Products and Services: Knowledge of major products and services and product and service groups; ability to apply knowledge of product and service appropriately to diverse situations.
• Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
• Technical Excellence and Value Selling: Able to clearly demonstrate the ability to understand and articulate technical machine performance and application knowledge that allows you to be regarded as an "expert" in product applications. Ability to provide overall product/service 'value' and to differentiate support offerings that address clearly understood customer needs.

Basic qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Pre-Advanced English.

Top Candidates will have:

• Job-related experience within an engineering, product group, industry, marketing or sales support background.
• A broad knowledge and understanding of Caterpillar CCE products, commercial strategies, dealer operations and capabilities.
• Experience interacting with Caterpillar’s dealer network either in an industry or product support capacity.
• Advanced/Fluent English.
