Cyncly is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to lead the Flex Platform, guiding architecture, mentoring engineers, and ensuring scalable, secure cloud-native solutions in an agile SaaS environment.

You will collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, Security, and Cloud Operations to deliver high-quality features, enforce coding standards, and foster an automated, observability-driven culture across multiple teams.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• Strong professional experience in software development, including hands-on backend, frontend, cloud and distributed systems.
• Extensive experience developing REST APIs and designing scalable microservices-based solutions.
• Strong experience with C# and the .NET ecosystem.
• Knowledge of software architecture, design principles (SOLID, DDD, microservices, CQRS, BFF).
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (SQL Server, Cosmos DB, MongoDB or similar).
• Cloud-native development, high availability, performance, scalability, and secure software practices.
• Experience in Agile teams delivering high-quality products.
• Strong understanding of automated testing and quality engineering practices.
• Troubleshooting, debugging, analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to mentor engineers and guide technical direction.
• Good English communication skills (spoken and written).
• Experience with Azure services, infrastructure and DevOps deployment.
• CI/CD practices using Azure DevOps or similar tools.
• DevSecOps, GitHub Enterprise, SAST/DAST/DAST, secure SDLC practices.
• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform or similar tools.
• Test-driven development, microservices architecture, performance testing and automation frameworks.
• Knowledge of SCM practices including branching, code reviews and merges.
• Ability to work in ambiguity and guide teams toward long-term technical outcomes.

Responsabilidades

• Define, guide, and review technical solutions for complex platform capabilities, ensuring scalability, security, maintainability and cost-effectiveness.
• Act as a technical authority for the Flex Platform, supporting engineers and architects in long-term decisions.
• Lead the design and evolution of software architecture patterns (microservices, event-driven, CQRS, BFF, API design, frontend architecture).
• Provide technical mentorship and coaching to Senior, Mid-Level, Junior and Intern engineers.
• Review critical designs, PRs and implementation approaches for clean code, performance and security.
• Partner with Product, QA, DevOps, Security and Cloud Operations to ensure quality, automation, observability and secure-by-default practices.
• Drive engineering consistency across teams: APIs, micro frontends, CI/CD, testing, branching, documentation, SDLC.
• Support troubleshooting of complex production or platform issues and identify root causes.
• Contribute hands-on to high-impact tasks when needed, especially for advanced technical challenges.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to engineers, team leads, managers and stakeholders.

About the Role

Join a world leader in cloud-based software solutions for the space design industry. As a Principal Software Engineer, you will work on the Flex Platform, a cloud platform with business and core components connecting Cyncly applications and products, including modular web applications, micro frontends, microservices, SQL/NoSQL databases, Azure Blob Storage, and Azure Cloud services. This is aligned with the existing Flex Platform context described for the Senior Software Engineer, Team Lead, and Technical Manager roles.

In this role, you will act as a technical reference for complex solutions, helping teams design scalable, secure, high-quality, and cost-effective systems. You will guide technical decisions, mentor engineers, collaborate with Team Leads and Technical Managers, and help ensure that architecture, engineering practices, automation, and delivery standards are consistently applied across the platform. This builds on the responsibilities already present in the Senior Software Engineer, Team Lead, Technical Manager, QA Automation, and Senior DevOps roles, including mentoring, architecture collaboration, code quality, automation, security standards, DevOps practices, and cross-functional technical leadership.

This position is ideal for someone with deep hands-on engineering experience who can influence technical direction, solve critical problems, raise engineering standards, and support teams in delivering world-class SaaS products in an agile environment. The existing roles emphasize high-quality delivery, Agile ways of working, technical documentation, mentoring, troubleshooting, and collaboration across disciplines.

Responsibility:

• Define, guide, and review technical solutions for complex platform capabilities, ensuring they are scalable, secure, maintainable, performance-oriented, and cost-effective. Existing software engineering roles already emphasize performance-oriented code, high availability, security standards, and robust solution design.
• Act as a technical authority for the Flex Platform, supporting engineers, Team Leads, Technical Managers, QA, DevOps, and architects in making long-term technical decisions. This reflects the existing expectation that senior roles collaborate with architects, serve as technical references, and guide team members on best practices.
• Lead the design and evolution of software architecture patterns, including microservices, event-driven architecture, CQRS, BFF, API design, frontend architecture, and cloud-native patterns. These architecture topics are already listed as required knowledge for Senior Software Engineer, Team Lead, and Technical Manager roles.
• Provide technical mentorship and coaching to Senior, Mid-Level, Junior, and Intern engineers, helping improve code quality, design thinking, debugging, testing, and engineering practices. Existing roles already include mentoring interns, junior, mid-level developers, freshers, and other programmers.
• Review critical designs, pull requests, and implementation approaches to ensure clean code, quality, performance, maintainability, and compliance with company-defined security standards. The Team Lead role explicitly includes pull request reviews for clean code, quality, performance, cost-effectiveness, and security standards.
• Partner with Product, QA, DevOps, Security, and Cloud Operations to ensure features are delivered with strong quality, automation, observability, CI/CD readiness, and secure-by-default practices. The QA Automation role includes collaboration with Product/Testers and automation maintenance, while the Senior DevOps role includes collaboration with security and cloud operations teams and secure-by-default patterns.
• Drive engineering consistency across teams by promoting standards for APIs, micro frontends, automated testing, CI/CD, branching, documentation, and SDLC practices. Existing roles require knowledge of SDLC, automation tests, technical documentation, CI/CD, SCM practices, and Azure DevOps.
• Support troubleshooting and resolution of complex production or platform issues, helping teams identify root causes and implement sustainable fixes. Senior Software Engineer, Team Lead, and Technical Manager roles all include troubleshooting and debugging for faster defect fixing.
• Contribute hands-on to high-impact development tasks when needed, especially in areas requiring advanced technical expertise or cross-team alignment. Existing technical and senior roles are expected to develop code, design interfaces, build high-availability systems, and deliver with quality.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to different audiences, including engineers, Team Leads, Technical Managers, Product stakeholders, and leadership. The Technical Manager role explicitly includes communicating technical concepts to the team, and several roles require strong communication skills in English.

You must have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, consistent with the requirement used across the existing software engineering, QA, DevOps, Team Lead, and Technical Manager roles.
• Strong professional experience in software development, including strong hands-on experience in backend, frontend, cloud, and distributed systems. The Team Lead and Technical Manager roles already require 10+ years of software development/programming experience.
• Strong experience developing REST APIs and designing scalable service-oriented or microservices-based solutions. REST API experience and microservices knowledge.
• Strong experience with C# and the .NET ecosystem.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture, design principles, and design patterns, including SOLID, DDD, microservices, event sourcing, CQRS, and BFF.
• Strong experience with relational and NoSQL databases, such as SQL Server, Cosmos DB, MongoDB, or similar technologies.
• Solid understanding of cloud-native development, high availability, performance, scalability, and secure software development practices.
• Experience working in Agile, full-stack, fast-paced engineering teams focused on delivering high-quality products.
• Strong understanding of automated testing, unit testing, API testing, and quality engineering practices.
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to mentor engineers, influence technical direction, and provide clear technical recommendations to leadership and stakeholders
• Good communication skills in English, spoken and written, suitable for working in a global environment.
• Experience with Azure Services, Azure Infrastructure, and Azure DevOps deployment.
• Good working knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery practices using Azure DevOps or similar tools.
• Experience with DevOps, DevSecOps, GitHub Enterprise, Azure DevOps, GitHub Advanced Security, SAST, SCA, DAST, and secure SDLC practices
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep, or similar tools
• Experience with test-driven development, microservices architecture, performance testing, and automation frameworks
• Knowledge of common SCM practices, including branching strategies, code reviews, and code merges
