CI&T Software S.A. in Brazil is seeking a highly autonomous DevOps professional to own the DevOps domain within an engineering area and drive technical initiatives with minimal supervision. This individual contributor role emphasizes ownership, proactive problem solving, and influencing engineers across multiple teams.

The role focuses on automating, improving delivery, reliability and platform evolution, with opportunities to shape architectural decisions and remove blockers across projects.

We're looking for a highly autonomous DevOps professional who can take ownership of the DevOps practice within an engineering area and drive work forward without close supervision.

This is an individual contributor role for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, driving technical improvements and working with minimal supervision. While there is no formal people management responsibility, this role requires technical leadership, ownership and the ability to influence engineers across multiple teams.

Success in this position is measured less by following instructions and more by identifying what needs to be done and driving it forward.

What you'll do

Own the DevOps domain within your engineering area.

Define priorities and drive technical initiatives from concept to implementation.

Partner closely with software engineering teams to improve delivery, reliability and operational excellence.

Identify gaps, risks and opportunities proactively rather than waiting for requirements to be defined.

Improve engineering practices through automation, continuous improvement and platform evolution.

Help teams remove technical blockers and improve developer experience.

Contribute to architectural and operational discussions across the wider engineering organisation.

Translate ambiguous problems into clear technical actions and next steps.

Identify missing information, dependencies and risks early, and act on them proactively.

Drive backlog and delivery progress without needing day-to-day direction.

Work across teams to unblock delivery and build alignment with the wider engineering organisation.
