Job summary

CI&T is seeking an experienced frontend engineer to own design and delivery of software solutions across a modern React, Next.js, TypeScript stack. You will build backend services, lead architecture discussions, and mentor engineers while ensuring performance and maintainability.

Required: 5+ years hands-on development, deep JavaScript/TypeScript expertise, and strong communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong problem-solving and business acumen encouraged.

Responsibilities:

• Own the design and delivery of software solutions across a modern React, Next.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript stack, writing high-quality code and setting the architectural patterns the team builds on.
• Build, integrate, and own backend services, APIs, business logic, and data flows, ensuring they scale reliably.
• Lead technical planning, architecture discussions, and solution design for significant features and initiatives, and influence the broader platform's technical direction.
• Lead code reviews and uphold engineering standards across the team, providing feedback that raises the quality bar and helps other engineers grow.
• Own application performance, reliability, accessibility, and maintainability for the systems you're responsible for, debugging and resolving complex production and development issues.
• Drive automated testing practices (unit, integration, and end-to-end) and the quality assurance process so software consistently meets functional and non-functional requirements.
• Work across third‑party integrations, analytics, feature flagging, payment systems, CMS platforms, and cloud environments, and improve CI/CD and release management.
• Mentor less‑experienced engineers, partnering with QA and engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions with seamless integration across application layers.
• Create and maintain technical documentation to guide future development and ensure knowledge sharing across teams.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, and bring them to bear on the platform.

What We're Looking For

• At least 5+ years of hands‑on software development experience.
• Advanced proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, with deep experience building modern frontends in React.
• Proven ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with a track record of analysing complex issues and implementing efficient solutions.
• Business acumen, including project and stakeholder management expertise.
