Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Principal Analytics Consultant (Sigma) based in Brazil.

Join a remote-first data and AI consulting environment where you will help enterprise organizations transform complex data into actionable business insights. As a Principal Analytics Consultant specializing in Sigma, you will lead end-to-end analytics engagements, designing scalable solutions that improve decision-making, strengthen data accessibility, and accelerate analytics adoption. You will work closely with clients, technical delivery teams, and business leaders to translate strategic objectives into intuitive dashboards, governed datasets, and self-service analytics experiences. Combining hands‑on technical expertise with consulting leadership, you will shape solution architectures, establish best practices, and ensure measurable business outcomes. You will also mentor consultants, influence delivery strategies, and identify opportunities to expand analytics capabilities across client organizations. This remote opportunity offers exposure to modern data platforms, complex enterprise challenges, and a collaborative international team that values autonomy, innovation, and continuous learning.

Accountabilities
  • Lead end-to-end analytics engagements, overseeing planning, requirements gathering, prototyping, development, testing, deployment, and adoption of Sigma-based solutions.
  • Define the technical approach, manage project backlogs, prioritize activities, and sequence deliverables to ensure scalable, high-quality solutions aligned with client objectives and data environments.
  • Facilitate client workshops and discovery sessions to clarify business needs, define analytical requirements, align stakeholders, and identify priorities, dependencies, and risks.
  • Design and develop Sigma workbooks, dashboards, governed datasets, and self-service analytics experiences that enable business users to explore data and make informed decisions.
  • Apply advanced SQL, data modeling, metric definition, and data visualization principles to connect analytics solutions with cloud data warehouses, data marts, semantic models, and other analytical structures.
  • Establish quality standards and review analytics deliverables for technical accuracy, usability, performance, scalability, and adherence to industry best practices.
  • Recommend and implement governance, security, access management, workspace organization, deployment, and platform administration practices that support enterprise‑wide Sigma adoption.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize data models, workbooks, reports, platform configurations, and deployment processes to resolve technical issues and improve performance.
  • Manage client expectations through transparent status reporting, proactive communication, regular feedback, and timely escalation of risks and dependencies.
  • Collaborate with account leaders and consulting practice leadership to identify new use cases, expansion opportunities, and reusable accelerators that increase customer value and support business growth.
  • Lead and mentor consultants, contributing to team development, staffing plans, utilization management, delivery planning, workstream budgets, and overall project performance.
  • Support ongoing analytics enhancement and backlog management following initial implementation, ensuring solutions continue to meet evolving business needs.
  • Develop reusable frameworks, templates, enablement materials, and delivery approaches that strengthen consulting capabilities and promote consistency across engagements.
Requirements
  • At least seven years of relevant experience delivering enterprise data analytics, business intelligence, or data visualization solutions.
  • A minimum of three years of external consulting experience, including ownership of client‑facing analytics projects or workstreams from kickoff through completion.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Sigma, including workbook development, data exploration, visualization, dashboard creation, and self‑service analytics implementation.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with cloud data warehouses, data marts, semantic models, and analytical data structures. Experience with Snowflake is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling, metric definition, visualization design, analytics architecture, and performance optimization.
  • Experience implementing or managing Sigma governance practices, including access controls, security, workspace organization, deployment procedures, and platform administration.
  • Proven ability to translate ambiguous business challenges into clear analytical requirements and practical technical solutions.
  • Excellent client‑facing communication, facilitation, presentation, project management, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate recommendations, trade‑offs, and risks to both technical and business audiences.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving capabilities, combined with sound technical judgment and a commitment to continuous learning.
  • Ability to operate independently, manage competing priorities, and lead complex engagements while collaborating with distributed teams across different time zones.
  • Experience scaling Sigma across enterprise environments, including platform governance, adoption strategies, operating models, and performance optimization, is an advantage.
  • Previous experience leading consulting teams and contributing to staffing, utilization planning, workstream budgets, and project delivery management is preferred.
  • Familiarity with data preparation and transformation tools such as Alteryx, KNIME, Matillion, Dataiku, Coalesce, or comparable platforms is beneficial.
  • Additional experience with Snowflake, Tableau, Power BI, Power Platform, or other modern data and analytics technologies is desirable.
  • Experience developing reusable analytics accelerators, frameworks, templates, training materials, or internal technical guidance is an advantage.
  • Exposure to solution estimation, proposal development, client discovery, and consulting practice growth is preferred.
  • Strong leadership, accountability, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset, with the ability to balance strategic consulting responsibilities and hands‑on technical delivery.
