Halliburton, located in Rio de Janeiro, is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to innovate and design solutions in subsea applications. Responsibilities include using advanced tools to solve engineering problems and contributing to the company's Intellectual Property portfolio.

Qualified candidates will have a master’s degree in electrical engineering and at least 2 years of R&D experience. The position offers a hybrid work model, requiring presence in the office two times a week.

Job Duties

• Demonstrates creativity, foresight, and mature engineering judgment in anticipating and solving engineering problems during the development and application of new and improved products and processes.

• Work close to the Electrical Engineering team, Systems Engineer, and the Project Manager at the Halliburton Technology Center in Brazil (HBTC).

Qualifications

• Completion of a master’s degree in electrical engineering or similar discipline is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• 2 years of experience in R&D.
• Experience in design solutions for subsea applications and well control involving multi disciplines is desirable.
• Experience in design solutions for well intervention applications involving multi disciplines is desirable.Familiarity with Risk Assessment and FMEA.
• Knowledge of power control systems/solutions.
• Troubleshooting of power electronics and proficiency in using lab equipment.
• Working knowledge of electronic circuit design and in commonly used circuit simulators (LTSPICE, PSPICE, etc) and math tools (Matlab, MathCAD) applied to embedded systems in harsh environments (O&G or aerospace) is desired.
• Knowledge in designing models, control design and simulation of electrical and mechanical system with standard software (Matlab, Labview, ROS, PLC software, …).
