Halliburton Energy Services in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, is seeking an Electrical/Electronic Engineer focused on Wireline and Perforating. The role requires expertise in power electronics, subsea systems, and cross‑disciplinary design across multiple countries.

Responsibilities include leading technical analysis, mentoring junior engineers, and contributing to IP while collaborating with the Electrical Engineering team, Systems Engineering, and a project manager at HBTC in Brazil.

Qualificações

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
• 5 years of experience in R&D.
• Experience with multidisciplinary teams located across locations/countries.
• Experience designing complex systems solutions for Oil & Gas, mining and/or aerospace industries.
• Experience designing subsea solutions and well control involving multiple disciplines.
• Experience developing and maintaining electrical equipment and power electronics systems (inverters, generators, transformers, UPS, valves).
• Knowledge of power systems demands (batteries, recharge, power management, ramp up, shut down).
• Experience defining requirements and reviewing proposals from manufacturers, vendors and suppliers.
• Experience testing electrical equipment including integration and qualification to standards.
• Troubleshooting power electronics and lab equipment proficiency.
• Knowledge of risk assessment, FMEA and reliability tools.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers as needed.
• Experience in well intervention multi-discipline projects desirable.
• Field/maintenance engineering experience desirable.
• Knowledge of power analysis and MV/HV networks desirable.

Job Duties

Qualifications

Qualification

• Completion of a master’s or doctoral degree in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline is preferred.

Experience

• 5 years of experience in R&D.
• Experience with multidisciplinary teams located in different locations/countries.
• Experience in design of complex systems solutions including several engineering disciplines for Oil & Gas, mining and/or aerospace industry.
• Experience designing solutions for subsea applications and well control involving multi disciplines.
• Experience in the development and maintenance of electrical equipment and power electronics based systems, including inverters, generators, transformers, UPS systems, and valves.
• Knowledge in power systems demands (Batteries / Recharge / Power management / Passivation / Ramp up / Shut down).
• Experience defining requirements and reviewing proposals from third parties (manufacturers, vendors, and suppliers).
• Experience performing testing of electrical equipment, including integration and qualification activities, in compliance with applicable standards and requirements.
• Troubleshooting of power electronics and proficiency in using lab equipment.
• Knowledge and experience in Risk Assessment, FMEA, other reliability tools.
• Ability to provide guidance and mentoring to more junior engineers as needed.
• Experience in designing solutions for well intervention applications involving multi disciplines is desirable.
• Experience as a field engineer and/or maintenance engineer is desirable.
• Knowledge of power analysis and electrical networks, including medium and high voltage systems, is desirable.
