Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Oracle Technical Project Manager — E-Business Suite and Fusion based in Brazil.

Join an innovative, AI-driven enterprise transformation environment where you will lead multiple Oracle ERP engagements from initial discovery through implementation, testing, and go-live. As an Oracle Technical Project Manager, you will coordinate complex technical deliverables across Oracle E-Business Suite and Oracle Fusion Cloud, ensuring projects meet agreed timelines, budgets, quality standards, and business objectives. You will work closely with customers, solution architects, technical specialists, and distributed delivery teams to maintain transparency and drive successful outcomes. AI-powered agents will support a significant portion of the delivery process, making your ability to validate outputs, manage review checkpoints, and measure productivity gains essential. This role combines hands‑on technical project governance, senior client engagement, and continuous improvement of delivery practices. It is ideal for an experienced Oracle project leader who thrives in a fast‑paced, multi‑engagement environment and embraces AI as a practical delivery accelerator.

Accountabilities
  • Lead several concurrent Oracle ERP engagements, managing scope, milestones, dependencies, resources, critical paths, and delivery plans from discovery and fit-gap analysis through implementation, testing, cutover, and hypercare.

  • Establish and maintain effective project governance through regular progress meetings, daily execution updates, steering committees, RAID logs, escalation processes, and clear executive reporting.

  • Manage budgets, project burn rates, forecasts, commercial terms, and change requests across fixed-fee and time-and-materials engagements, ensuring financial transparency and proactive risk management.

  • Define success criteria for proofs of value at the outset, track measurable outcomes throughout delivery, and prepare evidence-based close-out assessments.

  • Own the management of technical deliverables, including RICEFW inventories covering reports, interfaces, conversions, extensions, forms, and workflows, ensuring each item progresses through specification, development, review, testing, and sign-off.

  • Coordinate functional and technical specifications, code, configuration, and traceability between business requirements and test results, implementing appropriate quality and approval checkpoints.

  • Manage Oracle environments and configuration deployments, including E-Business Suite instance planning, cloning, patch windows, R12.2 online patching, Fusion environment refreshes, Functional Setup Manager migrations, and quarterly updates.

  • Oversee data conversion workstreams, including mock migration cycles, reconciliation, defect tracking, load readiness, and formal sign-off.

  • Coordinate integrations and third-party dependencies involving banking systems, tax engines, payroll platforms, electronic data interchange (EDI), and legacy applications.

  • Lead testing activities, including conference room pilots (CRPs), system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), regression testing, defect triage, and go/no-go decisions.

  • Develop and execute detailed cutover plans, including hour‑by‑hour runbooks, rehearsals, contingency measures, rollback strategies, and post‑launch support.

  • Plan delivery around AI‑generated analysis, specifications, configuration, code, and test materials, establishing clear human review and approval gates for quality, accuracy, and compliance.

  • Collaborate with AI engineers and Oracle domain specialists to validate AI‑generated deliverables, identify gaps early, and ensure technical decisions remain aligned with customer requirements.

  • Measure and communicate the impact of AI on delivery, including time savings, effort reduction, output quality, and customer adoption compared with manual approaches.

  • Integrate AI tools into daily project management activities, using them to prepare plans, reports, meeting summaries, risk assessments, dependency analyses, and executive presentations.

  • Apply sound judgment to customer data privacy and security when using AI tools, adhering to contractual obligations and customer policies.

  • Serve as the primary delivery counterpart for customer program offices and IT leadership, building trusted relationships and communicating risks, decisions, and changes proactively.

  • Coordinate organizational readiness, training, communication, and business approvals to support successful adoption following go‑live.

  • Improve delivery standards by contributing reusable templates, RACI matrices, governance materials, cutover runbooks, and lessons learned to support consistent execution across engagements.

  • Support pre‑sales activities by developing delivery approaches, resource plans, timelines, risk assessments, proposals, and statements of work.

  • Coordinate distributed onshore, nearshore, and offshore teams, maintaining strong communication and accountability across time zones.

Requirements:
  • At least 12 years of project or program management experience, including a minimum of three full‑life‑cycle Oracle ERP implementations managed from initiation through cutover.

  • Demonstrated implementation experience with both Oracle E‑Business Suite R12.x and Oracle Fusion Cloud, including at least one complete implementation of each.

  • Experience leading at least one ERP transition from another platform, such as SAP ECC, JD Edwards, PeopleSoft, or Infor, to Oracle.

  • Hands‑on knowledge of Oracle technical delivery, including RICEFW inventories, functional and technical specifications, configuration migration, data conversion mock cycles, integrations, test management, and cutover planning.

  • Working knowledge of Oracle Unified Method (OUM) for E‑Business Suite and Oracle's cloud implementation approach for Fusion.

  • Understanding of the Oracle Fusion quarterly update cycle and Oracle Support service request management.

  • Practical, everyday experience using generative AI and agentic tools, with the ability to govern delivery processes in which AI generates a significant portion of the work.

  • Strong commercial and project governance skills, including budget management, burn‑rate tracking, forecasting, change control, RAID management, and steering committee leadership.

  • Excellent customer‑facing communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to communicate difficult news early, facilitate decisions, and maintain client confidence.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent engagements without losing visibility or control over technical deliverables, risks, timelines, or quality.

  • Ability to learn new AI platforms quickly and develop deep operational proficiency within the first months of engagement.

  • Excellent written and spoken business English, with strong presentation skills for both technical teams and executive audiences.

  • Experience managing distributed delivery teams across onshore, nearshore, and offshore locations, supported by disciplined asynchronous communication.

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.

  • Strong analytical thinking, organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to balance technical depth with commercial and business priorities.

  • A collaborative, adaptable approach to delivery, with the confidence to make decisions, elevate risks, and maintain accountability in a fast‑moving environment.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Previous technical or functional experience with Oracle, such as software development, database administration, data conversion, or Oracle module consulting.

  • Experience managing proofs of value or pilot engagements with clearly defined success criteria and measurable results.

  • Familiarity with AI and automation in ERP delivery, including code generation, automated testing, data quality, or documentation, and experience evaluating their impact.

  • Experience with Agile or hybrid delivery methods and tools such as Jira, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, or Confluence.

  • PMP, PRINCE2, PgMP, or SAFe certification.

  • Oracle Fusion Cloud implementation certification or experience with Oracle Cloud Success Navigator.

  • Experience with large‑scale, multi‑country or multi‑entity Oracle deployments and managing system integrators or staffing partners.

  • Experience delivering projects for US or European customers from nearshore or offshore locations.

  • Additional language skills in Portuguese, Spanish, or German.

Benefits:
  • Competitive annual compensation of USD $190,000–$220,000, as listed for the role.

  • Fully remote working arrangement, open to qualified candidates in Brazil and other eligible nearshore or offshore locations.

  • Long‑term contract engagement, either directly or through a staffing partner.

  • Opportunity to work at the intersection of enterprise ERP transformation, AI‑powered delivery, and multi‑agent technology.

  • High‑impact role managing complex Oracle E‑Business Suite and Fusion Cloud engagements for enterprise customers.

  • Close collaboration with senior architects, Oracle specialists, AI engineers, and customer leadership.

  • Opportunity to shape delivery standards, improve project execution practices, and influence the evolution of AI‑enabled implementation methods.

  • Flexible location within the engagement's geographic requirements, with daily overlap with US business hours.

  • Opportunity to contribute to a growing AI‑driven delivery model focused on faster implementations, measurable outcomes, and continuous improvement.

  • Occasional travel to customer sites for project kick‑offs and go‑live activities, as required.
