Maersk is seeking an Operations Manager to enhance their dynamic service environment for the Oil & Gas sector. The role entails efficient management of operations, safety regulations, and budget oversight, requiring a minimum of 2-3 years in a managerial position within the offshore or maritime industry.

Key Responsibilities
Is responsible for living the A.P. Moller – Maersk values.
Must contribute to a good working environment.
Is responsible for eliminating risk behaviour carried out by oneself and others; and for reducing accidents, near misses and HSE incidents.
Is responsible for reducing and eliminating the environmental impacts of operational activities.
Is responsible for assisting in all matters relating to the work area.
Is responsible for taking all necessary initiatives in due time.
Is responsible for observing the existing and applicable safety rules and safety policies both internally and externally (from customers and/or authorities) within the area of responsibility.
Must always handle financial and business transactions in a well-considered way, i.e. to the optimum effect.
Is responsible for observing the laws, executive orders, etc. within the area of responsibility, cf. the Company´s Management System.
Coordinating both human and technical resources and optimizing the revenue as well as minimizing the overheads.
Must assist in composing budgets and observing approved budgets within the area of responsibility.
Secure that all necessary certificates within the work area are in place.
Take care – directly or indirectly – of the daily operation, including but not limited to administration, calculation and cost accounting, customer service.
Take care of all tasks according to area of responsibility in connection with this scope.
Always attend to a stable, upmarket and competitive service is offered and provided by the company.
Collect statistical data intended for economic analysis and evaluation of the business operation, including but not limited to man-hour consumption, machine plant and service turnover.
Ensure adequate information to the immediate superior of all relevant and important matters, including but not limited to marketing, products, quality and organisation.
Provide development and saving proposals of all issues within area of responsibility.
Attend to development of employees.
In cooperation with the SALES Manager, attend to negotiations of relevant customer agreements, etc.
Enroll the strategy for the department.
Ensure follow up on client (economic, after sale service etc.)
Recommend promotions, transfers and resignations of personnel.
Advice vacation and approve absence for various reasons as well as plan activities within the approved personnel policy.
In consultation with the HR department and in compliance with the HR education policy coordinate and participate in training and education of the departments employees.
Provide job descriptions for key personnel and ensure a constant update for the job descriptions.
Make efforts to take all necessary initiatives in due time.
Attend to that cautiousness and intelligence are demonstrated in all issues.
Responsible for making development and saving proposals of all issues within areas of responsibility.
Ensure that both financial and commercial considerations have been carried out prior to reaching a decision.
We are looking for
Engineer or / and other relevant technical background.
Alternative craftsman with manager experience.
As a minimum, 2-3 years of managerial experience within the offshore or maritime industry.
