Technical Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced technical support specialist to provide onsite technical assistance, network troubleshooting and data center support at our Jundiai site. The ideal candidate will have strong fundamentals in networking, server management and IT infrastructure operations within an SLA-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite technical support, including network and hardware troubleshooting.
• Work with network devices such as switches, routers, and wireless access points (preferably Cisco, Riverbed).
• Assign switch ports to VLANs and patch phone ports as needed.
• Troubleshoot Avaya VoIP phones and perform basic configurations.
• Diagnose and coordinate resolution for fiber link issues and switch chassis replacements.
• Perform regular IDF room checks (minimum twice weekly) for cooling, UPS alarms, and PDU health.
• Support data center and network administrators during technical troubleshooting.
• Monitor systems using tools like SolarWinds, Control-M, and EMC Avamar / Data Domain.
• Manage and maintain servers, storage devices, and perform performance monitoring.
• Utilize ITSM tools (preferably ServiceNow) for incident and service management.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Networking fundamentals (Switches, Routers, VLANs).
• Operating Systems: Windows Server, UNIX, Linux.

• Familiarity with backup technologies (EMC Avamar preferred).
