Overview
The Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining highly available network solutions.
This position is remote in Brazil
What you will be doing
- Lead the design, system configuration, direct system installation, define, document, and enforce system standards to establish a robust networking environment.
- Secure network systems by establishing procedures and access controls, and defining additional security measures as necessary.
- Develop and implement incident response processes and solutions.
- Operate as a trusted advisor to diagnose complex system issues with multiple influencing factors.
- Develop and implement recovery procedures for systems.
- Ensure documentation for network systems and procedures is consistent and up-to-date.
- Partner with relevant departments to develop network systems supporting new applications or customer solutions.
- Operate as an innovative thought leader and independently implement effective changes to processes or technology.
- Present documentation for audits of network devices to ensure compliance with standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
- Mentor, coach, and train other team members.
- Participate in professional associations, outreach activities, or educational opportunities to stay current on industry best practices and technical skills.

- Bachelor's Degree in a related field
- Fluent in English
- 7+ years of experience
- Expertise in Microsoft products
- Expertise in Linux operating systems
- CCNP certification preferred
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Driven to learn and stay current with technology
- Excellent collaboration skills, successful within team and cross-departmental
- Ability to work outside of normal business hours (evenings, weekends, etc.)
- Expertise in routing, switching, and firewall technologies
- Expertise in load balancing technologies
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience to perform the principal duties of the job
- Willingness to travel up to 10%
