A100 ROW Servicos De Dados Brasil Ltda. is seeking a Network Deploy Technician to join our infrastructure operations. You will support large-scale networks in data centers, drive stability, and help automate and scale network operations.

60% travel within the regional work area is expected, and the role is 100% onsite. The candidate should have 2+ years of networking and Linux experience, plus a degree in IT/CS and hardware troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on.

We are looking for a Network Deploy Technician to join our growing team within infrastructure operations. You will work with minimum supervision in a dynamic environment to drive the stability and sustainability of our next-generation networks and assist in the development of innovative ways to automate and scale our network.

The position's responsibilities include scaling support of several data center locations and day to day assistance with capacity management. You will work closely with internal customers and external vendors to facilitate smooth project execution as directed by Network Leadership and Technical Project Managers.

You will leverage your experience supporting large scale, enterprise class networks as well as network implementation and troubleshooting. As a Network Deploy Technician, you will work in a fast paced, collaborative environment with regular peer and customer interaction. In addition to providing management and support of AWS’ vast network infrastructure, Network Deploy Technicians establish and follow best practices and refine operational procedures.

You will be responsible for having a reliable personal vehicle and valid driver's license to travel within the regional work area, as company transportation will not be provided.

Traveling within and outside of regional work area and international is required 60% of the time. This position also is 100% onsite.

A day in the life

• Providing the first level networking devices to serve our customer racks entails various tasks (the name of the game is efficiency): You will track network rack intake and delivery; work with various onsite teams to request for rack space, power, and cooling for network racks. And then partner with network engineers to ensure all configurations are ready. You'll also be working on link and device troubleshooting within a certain Service-Level Agreement
• There is also console builds (and room builds) that are really exciting. You'll be exposed to more teams whose goal is to provide more space and capacity for customer racks.
• Work with ID-Scaling peers to build higher-level networking devices.

Basic Qualifications

• 2+ years of Linux operating systems experience

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• Can lift and rack equipment up to 40 pound

• Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure
• Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies
• Experience working in a data center environment (racking and stacking gear, cable management, hot/cold aisle containment)
• Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system
• industry standard certification (CompTIA, CCENT, or Network+), or experience in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Networking Engineering)
• Experience with network troubleshooting tools (telnet, test-netconnection, tracert, tracetcp, iperf, ntttcp, dig, and packet capture tools), or experience in managing and troublshooting network and experience with automation and any version control tools
• Knowledge of major Command Line Protocols (Cisco IOS, JunOS, GNU/Linux) and common Networking Protocols (BGP, OSPF)
