Job summary

CI&T is seeking a Mid-Level Android Developer to design, build, and maintain advanced Android apps using Kotlin. You will work with cross-functional teams to define features, ensure performance, and deliver high-quality software.

• Version control proficiency (Git or similar).

About the Role

As a Mid-Level Android Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining advanced Android applications using Kotlin. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, implement, and deliver new features while ensuring application performance, quality, responsiveness, and maintainability. You will also contribute to improving code quality, optimizing application performance, and exploring new technologies to enhance development efficiency and deliver a seamless user experience.

What you will do:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance Android applications using Kotlin
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, develop, and deliver new features aligned with business and user requirements
• Ensure application performance, quality, stability, and responsiveness across supported Android devices and versions
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, technical issues, and software defects
• Maintain high standards of code quality, organization, readability, and maintainability
• Implement and maintain automated development and testing practices to improve software reliability and development efficiency
• Integrate Android applications with backend services through RESTful APIs
• Apply Android design principles and UI/UX guidelines to deliver intuitive and consistent user experiences
• Use performance profiling and memory analysis tools to identify optimization opportunities
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues, review implementations, and share technical knowledge
• Continuously evaluate and adopt relevant technologies, tools, and development practices to improve productivity and application quality
• Contribute to Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile (KMM) development initiatives and the integration of shared code across mobile platforms

Must-have:

• Android Development: Proven experience developing Android applications, supported by a strong portfolio of applications or relevant projects
• Kotlin: Proficiency in Kotlin, including its core language features, object-oriented programming, and modern development practices
• Mobile Development Lifecycle: Solid understanding of the full mobile application development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and implementation to testing, release, maintenance, and support
• Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile (KMM): Proven experience with KMM and an understanding of sharing code across mobile platforms
• API Integration: Familiarity with RESTful APIs and experience integrating Android applications with backend services
• Android UI/UX: Understanding of Android design principles, interface guidelines, and UI/UX standards for building accessible, intuitive, and consistent applications
• Performance Optimization: Experience identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks, analyzing memory usage, and optimizing application responsiveness using appropriate profiling and debugging tools
• Version Control: Proficiency with Git or other code versioning tools for source code management and collaborative development
• Code Quality & Automation: Understanding of maintainable code practices, code organization, and automation techniques that support reliable and efficient development
• Problem-Solving: Ability to investigate technical issues, analyze root causes, and implement effective solutions
