What you’ll be doing

Management

• Manage supervisors and professional individual contributors, guiding them through well-defined management precedents.
• Ensure teams work safely, effectively, and with high regard for human error avoidance.
• Handle personnel details including salaries, positioning, hiring/firing, reviews, coaching, and development.
• Assist in testing, project management, and incident resolution.
• Provide technical support, share experiences, and facilitate knowledge exchange within the team.
• Be flexible and comprehensive, with strong listening and learning skills.

Project / Infrastructure Site Management

• Plan, coordinate, review budgets, and allocate resources to complete projects and maintenance within data centers.
• Contribute to budget planning and management.
• Manage overall site capacity.
• Translate functional plans into operational processes and oversee their execution.

Vendor Management

• Oversee contractor work and operations to ensure compliance with Equinix standards, KPIs, and SLAs.

Testing

• Ensure adherence to processes and complete documentation.
• Oversee the takeover of new builds and infrastructure.
• Develop Maintenance Operation Protocol (MOP) scripts.
• Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

Incident Management

• Coordinate activities and staff during incidents.
• Assist with root cause analysis and incident resolution.

What we’ll expect from you

• Solid experience in a mission-critical Data Center environment.
• Previous or current leadership experience.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Fluent in English.
