- Identify and incubate best-in-class external partners to drive delivery on strategic projects.
- Develop custom models/algorithms to uncover signals, patterns, and trends to drive long-term business performance.
- Execute the business analytics program agenda using a methodical approach that conveys to stakeholders what business analytics will deliver.

IN THIS ROLE
You will have the opportunity to lead the development of a cutting-edge Retail Execution and Analytics solution that provides localized recommendations across US stores. You will be responsible for the technical functionality of the initiative, leading data architects, data scientists, and engineers to drive the overall US Retail solution while collaborating with business teams and stakeholders. You will enable solutions like Store Potential, Suggested Actions, Next Best Display, Perfect Store, Scheduling, Guided Selling, and others in the North American retail domain.
WHAT THIS TEAM AND ROLE DOES
Our team is at the forefront of driving AI, data, and analytics across Mondelez. As a Business Analyst within the Mondelez Data & Analytics team, you will oversee the team working towards objectives such as:
- Building Suggested Actions and Perfect Store solutions using ML & AI models to provide tailored store recommendations on Next Best Display, Shelving, Suggested Order, and Assortment.
- Predicting the ideal product assortment for store clusters by leveraging diverse data sources on store characteristics, regional nuances, and shopper demographics.
- Piloting and expanding the Suggested Actions solution to the entire store base, iterating based on feedback.
- Leading the data science and engineering teams end-to-end in developing ML & AI models to predict store recommendations, ensuring business performance, and iterating based on test learnings.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Utilize market and industry knowledge to translate user needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and requirements for your team. Maintain a prioritized backlog, staying multiple sprints ahead.
- Oversee the day-to-day technical development of the solution, creating strong alignment within the team to achieve goals. Validate weekly progress and lead business user tests to ensure product quality before deployment.
- Define critical metrics to determine your product's success and develop a deep understanding of its performance. Plan initiatives and resolve bottlenecks.
- Lead iterative testing phases, incorporating feedback for continuous improvement.
- Integrate usability studies and research into product requirements to enhance user satisfaction and ensure customer-driven design.
SPECIFIC SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems/Technology, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of Product Development experience (acting as Business Analyst or Product Owner) or 3+ years in CPG Retail, preferably US (e.g., Perfect Store, Displays, Shelving, Scheduling, Guided Selling), with strategic decision-making experience for retail teams preferred.
- Able to thrive in uncertainty with a high degree of ownership and bias for action.
- Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, SQL, and knowledgeable about AI/ML/GenAI.
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and experience working closely with engineering teams.
- Strong technical and quantitative background in delivering data and analytics projects.
- Deep knowledge of AI/data principles, including ML algorithm selection, data architecture, familiarity with cloud technologies, etc.
- Experience in setting up and monitoring AI models in production.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies (ceremonies, writing user stories).
GOOD TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES
- Master's degree or higher in Data Science, AI, or Machine Learning.
- Experience delivering transformational projects with change management.
- Certifications like PMP or Scrum Master.
- Knowledge of syndicated data (Nielsen/IRI), retail data (Salesforce, ePOS), and household panel sources.
- Programming skills (e.g., Python).
- Understanding of privacy regulations and data management best practices.
- Passion for technology and staying updated on industry trends.
