Position overview: Our AI team integrates data, technology, and data science to develop innovative products and services, especially in financial sectors. We seek a Machine Learning (ML) Engineer to support product development that meets customer needs. The role involves addressing key questions around adoption, integration, and scalability of ML/AI solutions, with a focus on delivering impact and fostering a start-up mentality within a larger organization. Excellent communication skills are essential for collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Working on cutting-edge projects, you'll leverage advanced machine learning and AI techniques to generate tangible business outcomes.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain scalable machine learning frameworks for data science products.
2. Collaborate with data scientists to pilot products with beta customers.
3. Work with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and design Gen AI solutions.
4. Evaluate and select algorithms to optimize performance.
5. Refine prompt engineering techniques to improve AI system effectiveness.
6. Experiment with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) to enhance output relevance.
7. Integrate prompt engineering and RAG components into production systems.

Requirements:

1. Experience with data science algorithms and processes (e.g., xgboost, hyperparameter tuning).
2. Advanced skills in Python/PySpark and SQL.
3. Experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
4. Proficiency in prompt engineering and RAG methodologies.
5. Interest or experience in financial services and credit modeling.
6. Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and attention to detail.
7. Effective communication and teamwork skills.
8. 3+ years of industry experience in machine learning engineering.
9. Proven experience with Gen AI systems.
10. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
11. Preferred: advanced degrees, publications, expertise in Deep Learning (TensorFlow/PyTorch), fine-tuning open-source LLMs, and deployment experience.
