Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a Resident Technical Officer (Electrical, Instrumentation, Control & Automation) to supervise works on site in Kranji. You will enforce specifications and codes under the Building Control Act, assist the Resident Engineer in reviewing calculations and drawings, and provide regular progress updates.

You will also ensure proper documentation of inspections and tests per BCA rules and witness Factory Acceptance and Site Acceptance Tests, certifying work values for

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience in site supervision works, preferably in water/wastewater treatment plants.

Responsibilities

• Carry out duties as the Qualified Site Supervisor (RTO) on record for the supervision of the works.
• Enforce specifications and codes with RE and his representatives.
• Assist RE to review and approve design calculations and drawings at site.
• Provide periodic site progress updates.
• Ensure documentation of inspection and test per BCA regulations.
• Arrange and witness Factory Acceptance Tests and Site Acceptance Tests.
• Certify value of work completed for contractor's progress payments.

Job Description:

• Carry out duties and responsibilities in accordance to the Building Control Act as the Qualified Site Supervisor (RTO) on record for the supervision of the works
• Work with the Resident Engineer and his representatives and be responsible for enforcing specification and code
• Assist RE to review and approve design calculations and drawings at site
• Proactive in providing periodic site progress update
• Ensure appropriate and consistent documentation of inspection and test, to be in conformance with regulations set forth by BCA
• Arrange and witness Factory Acceptance Tests and Site Acceptance Test
• Conducts inspections and certify value of work completed for RE’s recommendation for Contractor’s progress payment to be made.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• At least 5 years of experience in site supervision works, preferably in water/wastewater treatment plants
• RTO is to be registered with the BCA, accredited with the Joint Accreditation Committee (JAC) of the IES and the ACES.
