Gammon Pte. Limited is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to oversee temporary electrical installations on site in Brazil. The role focuses on design, troubleshooting, and on-site maintenance to support the operational team.

The candidate will supervise subcontractors, ensure SS 638/650 compliance, and lead testing and commissioning while maintaining ESSW documentation and safety standards.

Qualificações

• Diploma/Higher NITEC in Electrical Engineering.
• Hands-on experience in troubleshooting electrical equipment.
• Able to diagnose and rectify M&E faults independently.
• Able to lead Testing and Commissioning of electrical systems.
• Adopt electrical safe system works in the project.
• Maintain documentation regarding ESSW system.
• Familiar with ACMV, Electrical, Fire protection and UPS systems.
• Excellent team player with a can-do attitude.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilidades

• Design temporary electrical installations within capacity and conduct TCL for electrical installations.
• Daily checking of electrical systems and troubleshooting of electrical faults.
• Responsible for maintenance and repair of electrical equipment.
• Provide support to the operational team related to all electrical power requirements on site.
• Provide assistance and guidance in temporary electrical and permanent electrical design.
• Ensure compliance to statutory regulations, code of practice and Company safety rules and SOPs for electrical work.
• Supervise work by subcontractors and inspect electrical installations.
• Supervise site electricians and coordinate with company staff on temporary electrical work.
• Ensure temporary electrical installations follow SS 638 and SS 650 Part 1 and 2 standards.
• Supervise setup of generator and DB installations.
• Conduct monthly inspections of the construction company’s electrical tools.
• Liaise with project team and authorities and electrical submission QP.
• Ensure timely completion of activities according to programme.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Higher NITEC in Electrical Engineering

• Possess Grade 7 Electrician’s Licence from EMA with at least 5 years’ relevant work experience

• Hands-on experience in troubleshooting electrical equipment

• Able to diagnose and rectify M&E faults independently

• Able to lead the Testing and Commissioning of electrical system

• Able to adopt electrical safe system works in the project

• Able to maintain documentation regards to ESSW system

• Familiar with ACMV, Electrical, Fire protection and UPS System

• Excellent team player, good interpersonal skills and a “can-do” attitude
