Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in CS, software engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of hands-on software development in IoT/cloud/industrial automation or connected systems.
• Strong coding skills in Python, C#, Java with API and cloud/web app experience.
• Experience with Azure or AWS, databases, data pipelines, Git, CI/CD, Docker and Linux.

Responsabilidades

• Lead design, development, deployment and maintenance of IoT and cloud software platforms and APIs.
• Translate customer requirements into technical architectures, plans and deliverables.
• Develop integrations with sensors, RTUs, PLC/SCADA systems using MQTT, Modbus, OPC UA and REST.
• Build cloud solutions on Azure/AWS, including databases, storage, security and monitoring.
• Manage DevOps processes, including Git, CI/CD, testing and production deployments.
• Ensure system reliability, cybersecurity, performance, upgrades and support.
• Lead projects and coordinate with customers and partners for on-time delivery.
• Explore AI, ML and automation to enhance IoT applications.
• Establish architecture, standards and documentation; mentor developers.

About the role

We are developing next-generation Industrial IoT, cloud and AI-enabled solutions that connect sensors, equipment and industrial systems to intelligent software platforms. You will lead the design, development, deployment and ongoing maintenance of our IoT and cloud software solutions. You will work closely with engineering, product, sales and customers to understand operational requirements, translate them into practical technical solutions, and take ownership from concept and development through deployment and long-term support. You will be responsible for establishing software architecture, development standards and deployment practices across our Industrial IoT portfolio, while remaining actively involved in software development, system integration, troubleshooting and project delivery. The role will also explore the application of AI, data analytics and automation to improve industrial operations and asset management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, deployment and maintenance of Industrial IoT, cloud software platforms, web applications, APIs and data services.

• Translate customer and business requirements into technical solutions, architectures, project plans, estimates and deliverables.

• Develop and integrate software with IoT sensors, RTUs, PLC/SCADA systems and industrial equipment, using technologies such as MQTT, REST APIs, Modbus and OPC UA.

• Develop and manage cloud-based solutions on Azure/AWS, including databases, storage, messaging, security, monitoring and system integration.

• Manage software development and DevOps processes, including Git, CI/CD, testing, releases and production deployments.

• Take ownership of system reliability, troubleshooting, cybersecurity, performance optimisation, upgrades and ongoing technical support.

• Lead software projects and coordinate with customers, internal engineering teams and technology partners to ensure successful delivery.

• Evaluate and implement AI, machine learning and intelligent automation where appropriate to enhance IoT applications and industrial operations.

• Establish software architecture, development standards and documentation, while providing technical guidance to developers and vendors.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline.

• 7+ years of hands-on software development experience, preferably in Industrial IoT, cloud, industrial automation or connected systems.

• Strong programming skills in Python, C#, Java or similar languages, with experience developing APIs and cloud/web applications.

• Experience with Azure or AWS, databases, data pipelines, Git, CI/CD, Docker and Linux environments.

• Knowledge of IoT and industrial protocols such as MQTT, Modbus, OPC UA and REST APIs.

• Experience integrating software with sensors, IoT devices, RTUs, PLCs or SCADA systems is highly advantageous.

• Experience in software project management, deployment, troubleshooting and system maintenance.

• Strong problem-solving, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work independently and provide technical direction.
