Baker Hughes is seeking a Senior Geoscientist to join our Oilfield Services team in Brazil. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, applying system engineering principles, and delivering technically sound products and services for customers.
You will act as SME, engage with customers during bids, and lead teams from project inception to delivery. English fluency is required to succeed in this role.
Our Oilfield Services business provides intelligent, connected technologies to monitor and control our energy extraction assets and supporting facilities. Our team arranging technical expertise to meet our client expectation. We provide customers with the peace of mind needed to reliably and efficiently improve their operations.
As a Senior Engineer or Scientist, you’ll play a key supporting role through both individual and team assignments. You will apply technical and business knowledge to ensure successful outcomes.
As Senior Geoscientist, you will be responsible for:
Working with and within cross-functional and cross-discipline teams
Applying system engineering methodologies such as requirements definition, system architecture and integration, analyses, configuration management, and risk management in the design phase of products
Acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in their area of expertise or discipline and support others with both business and technical mentoring/coaching
Engaging with customers during the product definition and requirements gathering process for bids and proposals
Acting as Team Leaders, delivering technically and commercially sound products or services, with guidance, through deploying effective teams from project inception to delivery by setting and meeting project goals and objectives
To be successful in this role you will:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Engineering/Technology)
Having worked in wireline ops, tools and data acquisition and log interpretations.
Have experience in tool processing and with borehole imaging tools.
Be proficient in the English language
