Qualificações

• Experiência mínima de 1 ano em redação de conteúdo esportivo para mídias sociais.

Responsabilidades

• Cobertura de eventos esportivos e transformação de entrevistas em conteúdo editorial.
• Produção de vídeos e conteúdo para canais de mídia social da ESPN.

Join to apply for the Jr. Editor, Web (Temp Role - 12 Months) role at ESPN

The ESPN and Sports Content group acquires and produces ESPN’s live sports programming, as well as sports news and original and non-scripted sports-related content, for The Walt Disney Company’s cable channels and ESPN+.

Responsibilities of the Web Jr. Editor include:

• Covering sports events remotely or on-site, transforming games and interviews into relevant editorial content;
• Producing video content, especially vertical formats, using innovative engagement techniques;
• Creating engagement pieces for ESPN’s social media channels;
• Producing and publishing videos from ESPN programming using tools like Fast Clipper and Tagger;
• Adapting and posting content on Facebook, Twitter/X, and other social media platforms;
• Conducting original reporting and interviews for exclusive stories (occasionally);
• Publishing content independently while adhering to Disney/ESPN editorial guidelines.

Candidate requirements include:

• Complete higher education in Journalism, Social Communication, Radio/TV, or related fields (mandatory MTB registration);
• At least 1 year of experience in sports content writing for social media;
• Excellent command of Portuguese and strong journalistic writing skills;
• Passion for sports, especially football, American sports, and martial arts;
• Knowledge of social media trends and digital engagement strategies;
• Basic proficiency in English and Spanish (for understanding international news and videos).
• Preferred: Experience with live sports coverage, basic video editing skills, and data storytelling abilities.
