Job Summary:

The ESPN and Sports Content group acquires and produces ESPN’s live sports programming, sports news, and original and non-scripted sports-related content for The Walt Disney Company’s cable channels and ESPN+.

How will you contribute to this experience?

At ESPN, every play is an emotion, every click is a story, and every content is an opportunity to connect fans with the sport they love. We are looking for a passionate sports and digital content enthusiast to join our team as a Junior Web Editor.

You will be responsible for creating, editing, and publishing content for ESPN's website and social media channels, focusing on covering major sports events in Brazil and worldwide. If you love turning statistics into stories, plays into emotion, and behind-the-scenes into engagement, this role is for you.

Responsibilities of the Jr. Web Editor include:

• Cover sports events remotely or on-site, transforming games and interviews into relevant editorial content;
• Create video content, mainly in vertical format, using the latest creative engagement concepts for digital audiences;
• Design engagement pieces for ESPN's social networks;
• Produce and publish videos with clips from ESPN programming, using tools like Fast Clipper and Tagger;
• Publish content across ESPN's social media channels (Facebook, Twitter/X), adapting material from the website for each platform;
• Occasionally conduct independent research and create original articles with exclusive interviews;
• Publish with autonomy, respecting Disney/ESPN editorial guidelines.

What we need from you to be part of this story:

• Complete higher education in Journalism, Social Communication, Radio/TV, or related fields (mandatory MTB registration);
• At least 1 year of experience in sports content writing for social media;
• Excellent command of Portuguese and strong journalistic writing skills;
• Passion for sports (especially football, American sports, and martial arts);
• Knowledge of social media and digital trends;
• Basic proficiency in English and Spanish (enough to understand texts and short videos from international agencies);
• Preferred: Experience with live sports coverage; Basic video editing skills and clipping tools knowledge; Ability to turn data into engaging narratives.
