You will guide backend architecture, microservices, and event-driven patterns, mentor teams, and advance cloud adoption, security, and observability in a consulting setting.

Responsabilidades

• Lead design, architecture, and implementation of backend solutions using Java and modern practices.

We are looking for a Java Tech Lead – Corporate Banking & Digital Transformation to join our team and work on large-scale transformation initiatives within the banking sector.

This professional will play a key role in the modernization of corporate banking platforms, enterprise integration ecosystems, and mission-critical applications, combining hands-on technical leadership with strong architectural and stakeholder management capabilities.

• Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of enterprise-grade backend solutions using Java and modern software engineering practices.
• Drive technical decisions ensuring scalability, resilience, security, maintainability, and performance.
• Design and implement microservices architectures and distributed systems.
• Lead integration initiatives between banking platforms, third-party solutions, digital channels, and enterprise systems.
• Define integration strategies involving APIs, event-driven architectures, messaging platforms, and enterprise connectivity.
• Lead modernization and migration programs, including legacy transformation, cloud adoption, platform evolution, and monolith-to-microservices initiatives.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, product owners, and delivery teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Promote engineering best practices, coding standards, testing strategies, observability, and DevOps principles.
• Mentor and support development teams, fostering technical excellence and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to the evaluation and adoption of emerging technologies, including AI-enabled solutions and intelligent automation initiatives.
• Support Agile delivery processes throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Previous experience working in consulting environments or client-facing technology projects.
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering with a strong focus on Java backend development.Proven experience leading technical teams and driving architectural decisions in complex environments.
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Distributed Systems.
• Solid experience designing and implementing Integration Architectures, APIs, asynchronous communication patterns, and enterprise connectivity solutions.
• Experience with Event-Driven Architectures and Messaging Platforms.
• Proven experience leading modernization and migration initiatives, including:
• Legacy System Transformation
• Cloud Migrations
• Platform Modernization
• Experience delivering complex transformation initiatives within Banking, Financial Services, or Enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of Software Architecture principles and Design Patterns, including:
• Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
• Hexagonal Architecture
• Experience with Cloud-Native Environments, Containers, CI/CD Pipelines, and modern DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of Software Quality, Testing Strategies, Secure Development Practices, and Observability.
• Strong leadership, communication, mentoring, stakeholder management, and problem-solving capabilities.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in Corporate Banking, Transaction Banking, or highly regulated financial environments.
• Familiarity with banking integration standards and protocols such as:
• ISO 20022
• SWIFT
• Open Banking
• Host-to-Host
• Experience with Kafka or other event-streaming technologies.
• Experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, and cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of Reactive Programming and modern Java capabilities.
• Exposure to Artificial Intelligence initiatives, LLM integrations, intelligent automation, or AI-enabled business solutions.
• Experience working in international and multicultural teams.
• Advanced English (mandatory)
• Spanish (nice to have)
