Description and Requirements

The IT Asset Recovery Manager will work closely with the Lenovo sales team, Project Management Office, and Customers to design solutions for the recovery of end-of-life IT products. This role involves developing comprehensive, executable, and cost-effective sustainable solutions to enable Lenovo’s Customers to responsibly reuse or recycle their retiring IT products while maximizing the return value of their assets. Additionally, this position will evaluate customer opportunities from RFPs/RFQs or engagements, using this information to develop solutions that meet the customer’s IT asset disposition (ITAD) requirements. This BRAZIL Sustainability Service Designer will be responsible for creating and communicating innovative ITAD service solutions to drive value, return on investments, and lower total cost of ownership.

High-Level Tasks

  • Collaborate with internal teams and Lenovo vendors to analyze customer processes and environments, providing value recovery expertise and solution recommendations.
  • Translate customer requirements into ITAD solutions delivered by Lenovo.
  • Create business case collateral to assist sales in closing potential opportunities.
  • Educate customers and internal stakeholders on ITAD services, acting as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor.
  • Challenge existing processes to ensure delivery of optimal solutions for the customer.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of certifications, technology, tools, and industry standards in ITAD.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Sustainability, Business, or an equivalent field.
  • 5+ years of experience in solution development, contract creation and negotiation, business development, project management, or services operations.
  • Experience in project management, product lifecycle management, and customer/vendor contracting.
  • Experience working with vendors to quote, analyze, negotiate, and document cost-effective solutions.
  • Experience with end-of-life management of IT products (laptops, desktops, mobile phones, servers, storage, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications – Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Experience with process improvements across multiple regions.
  • Ability to analyze large data sets and leverage insights for decision-making.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
