Job summary

53 Design Studio is seeking a passionate Interior Designer to translate clients' ideas into functional, aesthetically pleasing spaces. You will develop concepts, mood boards, 2D/3D drawings and quotations, then present proposals to clients.

You will coordinate with contractors and suppliers, manage multiple projects, and contribute to residential projects including HDB, BTO and condos. A relevant diploma or degree and strong rendering skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in interior design or a related field is required.
• Experience in residential interior design, especially HDB, BTO, or condo projects is preferred.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, SketchUp and 3D rendering software; strong space planning knowledge.

About the role

We are looking for a passionate, creative and driven Interior Designer to join 53 Design Studio. The ideal candidate should have a strong eye for design, good space-planning skills and the ability to translate clients' ideas and lifestyle needs into functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare design concepts, mood boards, 2D drawings, 3D perspectives and quotations
• Communicate with clients, understand their requirements and present design proposals
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers and project teams throughout the renovation process
• Manage multiple projects with good time management and organisational skills
• Work on residential interior design projects, particularly HDB, BTO and condominium projects

About you

• Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Spatial Design or a related field
• Experience in residential interior design, particularly HDB, BTO and condominium projects
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp and 3D rendering software
• Strong understanding of space planning, materials, finishes and renovation details
• Confident in communicating with clients and presenting design proposals
• Self-motivated, responsible, detail-oriented and able to work independently
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn and a strong sense of ownership
• Takes initiative rather than waiting for instructions
• Has both creative thinking and practical problem-solving abilities
• Strong portfolio and relevant residential renovation experience preferred
