Job summary

Symrise AG in Sorocaba, Brazil, is seeking a senior leader to co‑drive New Product Development (NPD) initiatives across Latin America, applying a fit‑to‑manufacture by design approach and guiding the NPI phase through first production runs.

You will coordinate scale‑up from lab to full production, implement process improvements, and align with R&D, Operations, Quality, Procurement, and Supply Chain to ensure compliant, cost‑effective, defect‑free products delivered to customers.

• Drive continuous improvement and process innovation to ensure efficient, reliable manufacturing operations.
• Develop and execute regional toll manufacturing strategy, including partner selection, capacity optimization, and governance.
• Ensure compliance with quality, food safety, and regulatory standards; support defect-free product delivery across Latin America.
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Procurement, Supply Chain, R&D, and Commercial teams to ensure supply continuity and cost competitiveness.

Your Role

Co-lead New Product Development (NPD) initiatives with R&D, applying a "fit-to-manufacture by design" approach and leading the New Product Introduction (NPI) phase through successful first production runs.

Coordinate product scale-up from laboratory to industrial production, including manufacturing procedure development, plant trials, and process optimization.

Drive continuous improvement and process innovation initiatives to ensure efficient, reliable, and scalable manufacturing operations.

Develop and execute the regional toll manufacturing strategy, including partner selection, performance management, capacity optimization, risk mitigation, and governance.

Ensure compliance with Symrise's quality, food safety, and regulatory standards, supporting the consistent delivery of defect‑free products to customers.

Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Procurement, Supply Chain, R&D, and Commercial teams across Latin America to ensure supply continuity, cost competitiveness, and alignment with business growth objectives.

Lead cross‑functional projects involving process transformation, continuous improvement, and product lifecycle management, including phase‑in and phase‑out activities.

About You

Degree in Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

Solid experience in food engineering, industrial process management, process engineering, or similar roles, preferably with regional responsibilities.

Experience in process improvement, product development, industrial scale‑up, and New Product Introduction (NPI).

Experience leading transformation and continuous improvement projects, as well as product lifecycle management processes.

Strong project management skills and the ability to work effectively in matrix organizations across functions and geographies.

Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem‑solving skills.

Availability to work in Sorocaba, with regional scope across Latin America.
