Job summary

Alignerr Corp. is seeking an Incident Response Analyst (AI Training) to evaluate how AI handles security events. With 2+ years in a SOC or IR, you will analyze realistic security events, assess root cause, and validate detection rules and playbooks.

This is remote, hourly contract, 10–40 hours per week. Work independently, provide expert feedback to improve AI security reasoning, and help train AI systems that automate investigation workflows.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in a SOC, incident response, or security operations role.
• Comfortable working across SIEM platforms, alert queues, and investigation tooling.
• Skilled at cutting through noise to identify meaningful threats and prioritize effectively.
• Strong written communication — able to articulate technical findings clearly.
• Self-directed and reliable in a remote, task-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze realistic security events, alerts, and incident cases to evaluate AI-generated responses.
• Assess root cause, blast radius, and appropriate remediation paths for simulated incidents.
• Review and validate detection rules, alerting pipelines, and investigative playbooks.
• Identify gaps where AI analysis diverges from how real response teams operate.
• Provide structured, expert feedback that directly improves AI security reasoning.
• Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule.
