Alignerr is seeking a Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) Analyst to join our remote, hourly contract team. You will help build datasets and evaluation frameworks to teach AI how security policy, compliance, and risk management work in real organizations.

You will review policies, map controls to SOC 2 and ISO 27001, assess risk statements, and provide precise written feedback. The role offers flexible hours and a chance to contribute to frontier AI systems with global labs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on GRC, compliance or risk management experience.
• Familiar with SOC 2, ISO 27001 or NIST frameworks.
• Able to read, interpret, and critique policy and audit-style docs.
• Detail-oriented with strong written reasoning and communication.
• Self-motivated and reliable when working asynchronously.

Your hands-on expertise in audits, control frameworks, and risk assessment will directly shape how the next generation of AI reasons about cybersecurity and compliance - work that matters at a global scale.

What You'll Do

• Review, analyze, and evaluate security policies, controls, and procedures for accuracy and completeness
• Classify and assess real-world compliance scenarios against frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, and NIST

Who You Are

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in GRC, compliance, or risk management
• Familiar with one or more major frameworks - SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, PCI-DSS, or similar
• Comfortable reading, interpreting, and critiquing policy and audit-style documentation
• Detail-oriented with strong written reasoning and communication skills
• Self-motivated and reliable when working independently

Nice to Have

• Experience with data annotation, data quality review, or AI evaluation workflows
• Relevant certifications such as CISA, CRISC, CISSP, or CISM
• Background in information security, internal audit, or enterprise risk management
