About the Role

As an Implementation Engineer, you will be responsible for setting clients up for long-term success on Clutch products by managing the implementation process for our Customers.

As one of our technical post-sale consultants, you will drive the design, configuration, and delivery of Clutch’s platform.

This role is a good fit for people with strong communication skills and technical backgrounds who enjoy communicating and empathizing with both internal and external stakeholders.

You'll be responsible for:

• Lead and architect technical vision for large enterprise customer’s implementation, testing and reporting, including collaboration with product and engineering for the implementation of beta products with customers.
• Work with and directly support our customers to craft the best possible experiences for users in Clutch.
• Implement and troubleshoot Clutch solutions in a wide array of configurations and Client environments.
• Be an expert on Clutch’s platform capabilities and app design patterns.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to improve and evolve products.
• Manage the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of multiple Implementation projects.
• Effectively communicate plans, progress, and status to both internal and Customer stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Customer Success, Product, and Engineering teams within Clutch to run beta programs for new features, improve the platform, and grow our fintech community.

About the Team

Our Professional Services team is a fast-paced team who implements Clutch's platform for our Credit Union customers. We gather requirements, build out the platform to their specifications, work with them to test and ensure it works as intended, and then set them live so they can realize value. We’re a team with a bias for Customer Success - our top metric isn’t setting customers live; it’s ensuring their success through renewal and expansion.

What You’ll Do

Within 3 months, you will:

• Complete onboarding.
• Kickoff your first clients.
• Apply learnings and work to become independent.

Within 6 months, you will:

• Lead your projects with confidence.
• Launch your first clients.
• Apply learnings and become fully independent.

Within 9 months, you will:

• Be fully independent in your role and work on areas to gather deep knowledge to become an SME.
• Be well into your second wave of clients - applying learnings from your first wave of projects, so they run even better.

What You’ll Bring

• Background in Computer Science or strong technical training.
• 2+ years experience integrating with web APIs.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Comfortable leading meetings with customers.
• Ability to identify and clearly communicate pragmatic solutions to complex integration problems.
• Proven ability to quickly learn new technologies and understand complex systems (APIs, databases, SDK's, etc.).
• Self-starter with the ability to assess, troubleshoot, and work autonomously to decompose and solve complex problems.
• Ability to read, write, and understand code in multiple programming languages.
• Knowledge of Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, JSON, GitHub, and terminal.
• Superior time management skills to manage multiple external customers simultaneously.
• A passion for working with people, paired with excellent communication skills; you can explain a complex technical issue in such a way most people could understand.
• Experience with modern web frameworks is a plus (React, Node.js, etc.).
