This hands-on leadership role builds efficient support models, partners with IAM engineering, security and business teams, and drives automation, runbooks, and continuous improvement while mentoring teams and managing vendor relationships.

Identity Access Management Operations Manager

Overview:The Identity Access Management Operations Manager will lead the global day-to-day operation of Bunge’s IAM services, helping ensure the right people have the right access at the right time. This role will focus on reliable service delivery, strong operational discipline, effective support, and continuous improvement across Identity Governance and Administration, Privileged Access Management, directory services, authentication, and access management capabilities. It is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys building efficient support models, improving user experience, and partnering across technology and business teams to make IAM simpler, faster, and more secure.

Essential Functions:Main Accountabilities

  • Lead global IAM operations across IGA, PAM, directory services, authentication, and access management, ensuring services are stable, responsive, and easy to use.
  • Manage L1 and L1.5 IAM support activities, including ticket intake, triage, access requests, standard incidents, queue management, and escalations.
  • Oversee identity lifecycle and privileged access operations, including joiner, mover, leaver, access remediation, and exception handling in line with Bunge policies.
  • Use service metrics, SLA performance, backlog trends, and recurring issue analysis to improve support quality and operational effectiveness.
  • Maintain practical runbooks, knowledge articles, service catalog entries, workflows, and escalation paths that enable consistent global delivery.
  • Lead and develop employees, managed service resources, contractors, and/or automation-enabled support models with clear ownership and accountability.
  • Partner with IAM engineering, Security Operations, Infrastructure, HR, application teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to transition new or changed IAM services into operations.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and standardize IAM support activities, improving user experience while reducing manual effort and operational risk.

Impact/Dimensions:This role directly impacts the stability, security, and usability of Bunge’s global IAM services. By improving support quality, service consistency, escalation effectiveness, and operational readiness, the IAM Operations Manager helps employees, contractors, and partners access the systems they need while reducing friction and operational risk. The role also serves as a key bridge between IAM operations, engineering, security, infrastructure, HR, applications, vendors, and business stakeholders.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • IAM service stability, availability, and operational continuity.
  • SLA adherence for IAM tickets, access requests, provisioning, de-provisioning, incidents, and escalations.
  • Backlog health, ticket aging, queue management, first-contact resolution, and reduction of recurring issues.
  • Quality and currency of runbooks, SOPs, knowledge articles, service catalog entries, and operational handover materials.
  • Progress in simplifying, standardizing, and automating IAM support activities.
  • Performance, engagement, development, and workload balance of IAM support resources.

Major Opportunities and Decisions:This role offers the opportunity to shape and scale Bunge’s global IAM operations model. Key decisions include how to prioritize support work, improve service quality, manage escalations, reduce recurring issues, and balance business urgency with secure and sustainable access practices. The manager will also help identify where automation, better documentation, and stronger handoffs can make IAM operations more efficient and user friendly.

Management/Leadership:This role provides day-to-day leadership for global IAM operations, guiding L1 and L1.5 support resources and ensuring clear ownership, workload balance, service quality, and accountability. The manager will coach team members, strengthen operational discipline, promote continuous improvement, and build strong partnerships across technology, security, vendor, and business teams.

Key Relationships, Stakeholders & Interfaces (External & Internal):

  • Internal:IAM engineering, Security Operations, Infrastructure & Operations, HR, application teams, audit and compliance partners, business relationship managers, and global business stakeholders.
  • External:IAM vendors, managed service providers, security consultants, and industry partners.

Knowledge and Technical Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of IAM operations across IGA, PAM, directory services, authentication, access request fulfillment, and identity lifecycle processes.
  • Experience with technologies such as Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID/Azure AD, SailPoint, CyberArk or equivalent PAM platforms, SSO, MFA, and IT service management tools.
  • Experience leading IAM support operations, including queue management, SLA tracking, incident handling, escalation, problem management, and service reporting.
  • Ability to use operational metrics to identify trends, prioritize improvements, and drive simpler, more scalable support processes.
  • Experience managing employees, managed service resources, contractors, and/or automation-enabled support models in a global environment.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Basic scripting, workflow automation, or AI-enabled support experience is a plus.

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Typically requires 5–10 years of experience in Identity and Access Management, Information Security, IT Operations, or a related technology function, including experience leading IAM operations or access management support in a global or complex enterprise environment.

Experience managing L1 and/or L1.5 support teams, managed service providers, contractors, or automation-enabled support models is required.

Experience with IAM processes across IGA, PAM, directory services, authentication, access request fulfillment, joiner/mover/leaver, incident handling, escalation management, and service performance reporting is expected.

Professional English proficiency is required; Spanish is a plus.

Relevant certifications such as ITIL, CISSP, CISM, Security+, or IAM/vendor-specific certifications are a plus.
