About The Team

Great companies are built on great products, but great products are developed and brought to the market by great people. At TikTok, there is nothing more important to promote the rapid worldwide growth of the organization than hiring the industry's best talent. As a member of the Global E-Commerce team, your role has a profound impact on a mission-critical aspect of the organization's development. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with multiple domestic and international stakeholders to support our continued growth and expansion.

As a Project Intern, you will contribute to impactful short‑term projects and gain hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced, professional environment. This internship offers the opportunity to develop practical skills, apply your knowledge to real‑world challenges, and explore your career interests.

  • Local Operations, Assignment & Relocation Support
  • Support documentation and follow‑up for employee lifecycle topics, including onboarding, transfer, relocation, internship conversion, probation tracking, and offboarding.
  • Help track LATAM assignment, relocation, visa, base city, and business travel processes, coordinate with employees, local HR teams, mobility teams, and business stakeholders to collect required information and monitor progress.
  • Help prepare case trackers for probation, resignation, and other employee relations topics under HRBP guidance.

Establish and maintain a probation tracker, including: start date, probation end date, mid‑probation review due date, leader feedback deadline, probation perf result, and next action.

  • Regularly remind leaders to complete probation feedback / reviews.
  • Follow up on each probation node (pass / fail), ensuring that all materials, timelines, and communication records are complete.
  • Help organize basic information for probation cases, such as performance concerns, leader feedback, historical communication records, and pending supplementary materials.
  • Assist in optimizing the onboarding checklist to ensure that new hires complete system access, team introductions, business training, mentor pairing, key document reading, and other tasks after their start date.
  • Regularly collect new hire onboarding and probation feedback to identify common gaps during the probation process.
Current Areas For Improvement

Much of the probation and onboarding currently relies on system auto tracking but no timely follow‑up . With interns on board, we can turn this into a fixed mechanism, reducing oversights and enabling managers to surface risks earlier.

  • HR Project & Administrative Support
  • Assist in HR Projects, event coordination, and post‑implementation evaluation.
  • Coordinate the OC, admin, catering, procurement and vendor to support business campaigns, all‑hands meetings, employee engagement events, and team recognition.
  • Support local workplace / seating / office coordination where needed.
Interns Can Support
  • Assist with LATAM campaign / event support, such as Double Day Sale, Hot Sale, Recognition, All‑hands meetings, and other events.
  • Follow up on execution details with admin, local vendors, catering, swag, office decoration, photo booth, quotations, etc.
  • Organise campaign support checklists to ensure each milestone has an owner, a deadline, and a clear status.
  • Collect post‑event feedback and expense / vendor information.
Current Areas For Improvement

At present, campaign support is often pulled together on an ad‑hoc basis, which tends to consume a lot of fragmented time. Interns can turn these projects into standardised checklists and execution trackers, thereby improving local execution efficiency.

  • Employee Relations & Culture
  • Contribute to internal culture communications, including content drafting, material collection, and visual asset creation. Make sure to utilize team building and leadership budget effectively.
  • Support employee HR inquiries and help maintain a positive employee experience.
  • Proactively follow up on open items and keep the HRBP team updated on progress, risks, and blockers.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree, with a preference for majors in Human Resources Management, Sociology, Psychology, or related fields.
  • Enthusiasm for HR-related work and a desire to grow oneself in HR practice as a long‑term career plan.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong team collaboration skills with a clear, logical thought process.
  • Strong data usage and analytical mindset
  • Enthusiasm for HR-related work and a desire to grow oneself in HR practice as a long‑term career plan.
