Whowe’re looking for:

We seek an executive-level technologyleader who is visionary, strategic, and passionate about innovation- without needing to be hands-on in coding. As a CTO/Head ofEngineering , you will guide our tech and product strategy,ensuring alignment with business goals and fostering a culture ofgrowth and servant leadership. This is a hybrid role combiningstrategic leadership with hands-on involvement. Approximately 25–30%of the time will be dedicated to implementation and debugging, whilethe remaining focus will be on system architecture, technicaldirection, and guiding internal teams. Work directly with externalvendors and partners to align on expectations and drive outcomes—thisrole does not involve formal vendor management but requires effectivecollaboration to ensure delivery meets our standards.

Why this role is unique:

We aretransitioning from in-house backend development to a third-partytech provider to enhance scalability, security, and performancewhile reducing bugs and maintenance overhead. This is a strategicshift that allows us to focus on front-end improvements,marketing experiments, and product innovation. We need a leaderexcited about this transformation - someone who can refine productstrategy, guide teams, and drive innovation rather than push forin-house backend development.

As a CTO/Head ofEngineering, you will be responsible for:

• Technology & Product Strategy – Define and executea long-term technology roadmap aligned with business goals andinnovation.
• Leadership & Growth – Inspire, mentor,and empower teams to drive effective execution.
• ProductOwnership & Execution – Oversee product evolution, ensuringfront-end and API development supports user experience, marketingagility, and growth initiatives.
• Security & Scalability– Ensure site security, performance, and scalability by workingwith our third-party technology partner while keeping internalprocesses efficient.
• Technical Escalation & Support – Provide backup for critical issues and guide troubleshooting,ensuring smooth collaboration with third-party providers.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration – Collaborate withmarketing, sales, and operations to leverage technology for businessimpact.
• Vendor & Partner Management – Managerelationships with external tech providers to maximize efficiency,reliability, and innovation.

Must-Have Experience

• Leadership experiencein a technology or product-focused executive role
• Experiencewith Client side web development (HTML/CSS/JS/Smarty/Smarty Twig)
• Understanding of AWS, CDN, MariaDB, Apache HTTPdweb servers, Linux, Cloud computing, CI/CD, cybersecurity
• Experience working with Platform as a Service (PaaS) andAPI-driven environments
• Security and scalability expertisein a digital product environment
• Proven ability to leadcross-functional teams and manage external technology vendors
• Experience collaborating with external vendors to driveoutcomes without direct management responsibility.

Nice to Have (or willingness to learn)

• WordPress, PHP, MySQL
• GTM, on-sitedata tracking, SEO
• Experience with automation tools,AI-driven tech, and experimentation platforms (e.g., VWO)
• UX/UI familiarity (Figma, Adobe XD)

Additional Information:

• Thisrole is full-time, requiring 35-40 hours per week.
• It is afully remote contract position, with Independent Contractorsresponsible for their taxes and benefits.
