Micro1 is a data lab that helps AI labs and enterprises train models and create high-quality materials. We seek a Graphic and Editorial Design Expert to craft visuals for briefs and publications. This is a remote contractor role.

Daily use of InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop or Figma is expected, with strong attention to layout, typography, and brand consistency. Provide clear reasoning for decisions and deliver production-ready files.

Qualifications

• Professional work as a graphic designer, editorial designer, layout designer, publication designer, art director or brand designer.
• Daily use of professional tools such as InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop or Figma.
• Experience with real jobs: briefs, revisions, production files and delivery to a client or publisher.
• Clear written English.

Responsabilités

• Evaluate posters, covers, page layouts, and brand pieces to decide which design is strongest.
• Assess hierarchy, spacing, typography, color, and text-image balance.
• Identify production issues like format errors, low resolution, margins, or color issues.
• Ensure a design aligns with the brief and brand or publication style.
• Provide a short justification for each decision for reviewer traceability.

About micro1 micro1 is a data lab that helps AI labs & Enterprises train foundational models and agents. We provide frontier evaluations and reinforcement learning environments to improve LLM capabilities, as well as contextual evaluations to monitor and improve AI agents in enterprise settings. Our AI recruiting agent sources and vets domain experts for our data platform that enables rapid production of high-quality training data. Our research spans high-value, specialized domains (legal, medical, finance, coding, etc.), where expert-level data is the hardest to produce and most valuable for advanced model performance. Our pipeline performance system ensures both quality and velocity.

Opportunity Snapshot Pay: $55 to $100 per hour

Remuneracao $50-105/hour (remote)

Responsabilidades

• Look at designs (posters, covers, page layouts, brand pieces) and judge which one is stronger for a given brief and audience.
• Check hierarchy, spacing, type choices, color and how text and images work together.
• Flag problems that would show up in production (wrong format, low resolution, margins, print color).
• Check that a design fits the brief and the brand or publication style.
• Write a short explanation for each decision so a reviewer can follow your reasoning.

What we’re looking for
