Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a Vulnerability Management Analyst (AI Training) for a fully remote, hourly contract. You will analyze CVEs, exposure scenarios, and remediation workflows to train and evaluate AI models.

Qualifications

• Clear, structured, and analytical thinking with concise communication.

Vulnerability Management Analyst (AI Training)

As a Vulnerability Management Analyst, you'll bring your hands-on experience with CVEs, exposure management, and remediation workflows to help train and evaluate cutting-edge AI models. Your domain expertise directly shapes how AI understands and reasons about cybersecurity risk in the real world.

What You'll Do

• Analyze vulnerability reports, CVEs, and exposure scenarios across infrastructure and applications
• Classify severity, impact, exploitability, and appropriate remediation strategies
• Review and evaluate patching, mitigation, and remediation decision-making scenarios
• Generate, label, and validate realistic security-reasoning data used to train and improve AI systems
• Apply your real-world judgment to distinguish theoretical risk from what actually matters in production environments

Who You Are

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in vulnerability management, security operations, or infrastructure security
• Solid familiarity with CVEs, vulnerability scanners, patching workflows, and risk prioritization frameworks
• Strong understanding of the tradeoffs between textbook risk ratings and practical production risk
• A clear, structured, and analytical thinker who can communicate reasoning concisely
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently on asynchronous, task-based assignments

Nice to Have

• Experience with tools like Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7, or similar vulnerability management platforms
• Familiarity with frameworks such as CVSS, EPSS, or CISA KEV
• Background in cloud security, application security, or enterprise infrastructure
• Prior experience contributing to security documentation, runbooks, or risk assessments
