Required Qualifications:
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Global Logistics Analyst to lead and optimize Autodesk's central freight program and global shipping operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring cost-effective, compliant, and efficient shipping practices across the organization. The selected candidate will play a key role in driving cost management, ensuring governance and compliance, and enhancing the shipping experience for Autodesk employees worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
Global Freight Program Management:
Oversee the global freight program, ensuring alignment with company-wide contracts and maximizing contracted supplier utilization.
Promote the global adoption of Autodesk's preferred shipping programs.
Act as the primary contact for freight-related inquiries, providing expert support to employees globally.
Build and maintain strong relationships with freight carriers.
Cost Management And Optimization:
Analyze global shipping spend data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and cost-saving opportunities.
Develop and implement strategies to optimize shipping costs and maximize use of contracted rates.
Monitor carrier performance and negotiate rates and SLAs to ensure efficiency.
Track and report on KPIs related to shipping costs, service levels, and program effectiveness.
Governance And Compliance:
Work with the Global Trade Compliance team to ensure compliance with customs regulations, import/export laws, and trade requirements.
Develop and maintain guidelines and process documentation for international shipping to mitigate risks.
Implement controls and audits to validate shipping expenses and adherence to policies.
Stay informed about changes in global trade regulations and communicate updates to stakeholders.
Employee Experience And Support:
Provide expert guidance to Autodesk employees on shipping procedures, customs requirements, and best practices.
Develop and maintain training materials and resources to promote program compliance.
Troubleshoot and resolve shipping issues, collaborating with carriers to ensure timely resolution.
Drive process improvements to streamline shipping operations and enhance employee experience.
Data Analysis And Reporting:
Collect and analyze shipping data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
Develop regular reports on spend, compliance, carrier performance, and program effectiveness.
Leverage data insights to support strategic decisions and recommend program enhancements.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
3-5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation with a focus on package freight.
Solid understanding of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and trade compliance.
Proven experience managing relationships with freight carriers (e.g., FedEx), including rate negotiation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and develop actionable insights.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting across diverse cultures and organizational levels.
Ability to develop and maintain processes, procedures, and documentation effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma methodologies for process improvement.
