Requirements

The General Store Manager will set an example for employees by continually striving to exceed guests’ expectations, providing immediate response for product and service shortfalls, and will be responsible for daily operational routines and all related procedures (store supplies, cleanliness, payroll, etc.). The Manager will also be responsible for inventory levels, inventory counts, ordering merchandise and products for the store, cash reconciliation, store transfers, theft procedures, and all related paperwork.

Essential functions:

1. Perform regular staff appraisals within specific time frames, and initiate recognition and corrective and disciplinary action, as necessary.
2. Establish and maintain a merchandising & display plan for the store.
3. Schedule staff, operate a computer POS system, and handle all related procedures and reports.
4. Accountable for all security issues involving cash handling, theft, liability, and premises.
5. Ensure proper storage of product, equipment, and fixtures.
6. Contribute to growth of Panorama through acting upon suggestions from staff and guests alike.
7. Prepare operating and capital budgets as required.
8. Organize and conduct promotional activity.
9. Conduct business with suppliers and representatives with integrity and maintain high standards of ethical behavior.
10. Demonstrate knowledge of all Panorama products, special events, promotions, policies, and procedures.
11. Implement and maintain a staff communication binder and board.
12. Maintain a clean, neat, and safe environment for guests and co-workers.
13. Train and coach staff, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.

Experience/Requirements:

• Hands-on experience as a store clerk in a grocery and/or retail environment.
• Strong verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Some experience with Retail Point of Sale equipment.
• Desire to succeed, learn, and develop professionally.
• Guest-oriented, able to work under pressure, positive, energetic, and enthusiastic.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to stand throughout an eight-hour day.
• Work on your feet in the store for long periods, lifting and moving boxes and products up to 60 lbs.
