Description:

As the café supervisor, you will assist the manager in running the coffee shop operations in Mountain Outfitters. You will lead and motivate a team of individuals whose focus is to ensure that our guests’ expectations are met.

Essential functions:

  1. Train, motivate, recognize, and provide feedback to staff.
  2. Train staff in proper procedures and policies and maintain a high standard throughout the season.
  3. Ensure staff adherence to Panorama policies and procedures.
  4. Administer disciplinary actions as required.
  5. Perform daily operational routines and all related procedures (merchandising, restocking, cleanliness, checklists, etc.).
  6. Prepare and dispense a wide variety of food and beverage products, including alcohol, in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  7. Continually strive to exceed guests’ expectations.
  8. Deliver quality products on a consistent basis.
  9. Responsible for opening and closing duties related to store operation.
  10. Ensure a clean and safe work environment.
  11. Maintain accurate guest bills and be able to explain charges.
  12. Assist guests with questions and solve problems as they arise.
  13. Operate a computer POS system and all related procedures.
  14. Ensure methods of communication are correct and updated regularly.
  15. Work within a team atmosphere with other departments and external suppliers to ensure that departmental and corporate goals and objectives are met.
  16. Handle difficult customer situations in a polite and professional manner.
  17. Possess knowledge of Panorama facilities, services, and products to provide accurate information.

Experience/Requirements:

  1. Strong attention to detail.
  2. Excellent problem-solving skills.
  3. Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
  4. Ability to communicate clearly.
  5. Strong verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  6. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  7. Excellent people skills, including the ability to resolve customer satisfaction problems.
  8. Able to stand for long periods of time.
  9. Understanding of computers and comfortable learning and using new systems.
  10. Must be of legal age to serve alcohol in B.C.
