EY Internal Transformation Services (ITS) invites a Business Transformation Consultant to join our Colombo-based team. You will blend structured problem solving with stakeholder influence and hands-on delivery across cross-functional, geographically distributed teams.

You will translate strategic priorities into practical roadmaps and change interventions, using human-centered design and data-driven insights to deliver measurable outcomes that matter for clients.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, management, engineering, technology, or related field.
• Typically 6+ years of relevant experience in business transformation and consulting.
• Experience across two of: transformation strategy, PMO, operating model, technology-enabled change, or change management.
• Experience engaging senior stakeholders and producing outputs in English.

The opportunity

EY Internal Transformation Services (ITS), part of Enablement Services, brings together consulting professionals who deliver internal transformation program aligned to EY's strategy and ambition. The team works across project and program management, strategy execution, technology-enabled transformation, organization design and organizational change management.

We are growing our Sri Lanka team and are looking for a Business Transformation Consultant who can combine structured problem-solving, stakeholder influence and hands‑on delivery. You will work with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams, support senior leadership decisions, and translate strategic priorities into practical roadmaps, change interventions and measurable outcomes.

Your key responsibilities

• Partner with senior leaders and functional stakeholders to clarify business objectives, transformation priorities, challenges and opportunities.
• Structure ambiguous problems, assess the current state and synthesise insights into clear recommendations, options and action plans.
• Design transformation roadmaps, governance, milestones, success measures and decision forums that enable disciplined execution.
• Lead or support complex, cross-functional program from initiation through implementation, managing scope, dependencies, risks, issues and outcomes.
• Build trusted stakeholder relationships across countries and functions, and communicate effectively with executive and working-level audiences.
• Use market perspectives and emerging practices to strengthen decision-making and identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.
• Assess operating models, customer or employee journeys and enabling technology to identify practical improvements.
• Design and deliver change strategies, including stakeholder analysis, impact and readiness assessments, communication, engagement, learning and adoption plans.
• Apply human-centred and design-thinking approaches to frame problems, gather user insights, test ideas and improve solutions.
• Create concise, leadership-ready presentations, dashboards, business cases, status reports and decision materials.
• Contribute to reusable consulting methods, tools and knowledge assets, while coaching junior team members and promoting an inclusive, collaborative team culture.

Skills and attributes for success

• Strong business transformation and consulting mindset, with the ability to connect strategy, people, process, technology and execution.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, including the ability to work with incomplete information and create a clear path forward.
• Proven program or project management capability across Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery environments.
• Practical experience in organisational change management, stakeholder engagement and adoption.
• Executive-level communication, storytelling and presentation skills, with strong attention to quality and detail.
• Confidence working across cultures, time zones and virtual teams in a global environment.
• Advanced Microsoft 365 skills, particularly PowerPoint and Excel; experience developing dashboards and management reporting is valuable.
• Adaptability, curiosity, ownership and the judgement to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.

To qualify for the role

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, management, engineering, technology, economics or a related discipline.
• Typically 6+ years of relevant experience, including substantial experience in business transformation, management consulting, internal consulting, program delivery, change or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience delivering work across at least two of the following: transformation strategy, PMO or program management, operating model or organisation design, technology-enabled change, organisational change management, or design thinking.
• Experience engaging senior stakeholders and producing clear, decision-ready outputs in English.

Ideally, you will also have

• Experience in a Big Four, global professional services, multinational or complex matrix organisation.
• Recognised certification in project or program management, Agile, organisational change management, Lean Six Sigma, design thinking or facilitation.
• Experience supporting global transformation program from Sri Lanka or another delivery hub.
• Exposure to technology-enabled transformation, data visualisation, automation, AI-enabled ways of working or digital adoption.
