Bluelight is a leading software consultancy actively expanding across the Americas. We seek a senior backend-focused engineer to design fast RESTful services, integrate with external SDKs, and own reliable migrations in PostgreSQL. You’ll work with AWS, Node.js, TypeScript, and React when needed.

You will contribute to scalable, secure multi-tenant systems, test with real databases, and overlap US business hours while pursuing professional growth within a collaborative team.

Formación

• 5+ years in professional software development (backend-focused).
• Strong experience with Node.js, TypeScript, JavaScript.
• Experience building low-latency API services in AWS.
• Experience with scalable RESTful APIs and SDK integrations.
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL/AuroraDB and Row-Level Security.
• Secure multi-tenant environments and raw SQL with migrations.
• Professional React experience; testing incl. integration tests.
• Ability to overlap US business hours and own deliverables.

Requirements

• 5+ years professional software development experience (backend-focused)
• Strong professional experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript
• Experience building low-latency API services in AWS
• Experience building scalable RESTful APIs
• Experience with SDK integrations to other services
• Experience with PostgreSQL/AuroraDB, including Row-Level Security (RLS)
• Experience building secure multi-tenant environments
• Comfortable writing raw SQL and managing schema migrations (e.g., node-postgres, node-pg-migrate)
• Professional experience with React
• Strong testing practices, including integration tests against real databases and failure-mode/fault-injection testing
• Experience working with AI coding assistants as part of daily development
• CI/CD application creation and maintenance skills
• Solid understanding of full stack development, with the ability to contribute to frontend work when needed
• Substantial background working with large, complex systems
• Ability to overlap US business hours
• Bachelor's degree required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in compliance-sensitive or audit-heavy domains (e.g., fintech, telecom/TCPA compliance)
