Bluelight Consulting is seeking a senior backend engineer to join our growing software consultancy. You’ll develop high-quality, low-latency API services in AWS, with deep involvement in PostgreSQL, multi-tenant security, and full-stack collaboration.

The role emphasizes ownership, problem solving, and continuous learning in a dynamic environment with remote work options and strong client focus.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of professional backend software development experience.
• Strong experience with Node.js, TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Experience building low-latency API services in AWS.
• Experience building scalable RESTful APIs.
• Experience with SDK integrations to other services.
• Experience with PostgreSQL/AuroraDB including RLS.
• Secure multi-tenant environments knowledge.
• Writing raw SQL and migrations (node-postgres).
• Experience with React.
• Strong testing, including integration tests against real databases.
• Experience with AI coding assistants in daily development.
• CI/CD creation and maintenance.
• Full stack capability and willingness to contribute frontend work.

Requirements

• 5+ years professional software development experience (backend-focused)
• Strong professional experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript
• Experience building low-latency API services in AWS
• Experience building scalable RESTful APIs
• Experience with SDK integrations to other services
• Experience with PostgreSQL/AuroraDB, including Row-Level Security (RLS)
• Experience building secure multi-tenant environments
• Comfortable writing raw SQL and managing schema migrations (e.g., node-postgres, node-pg-migrate)
• Professional experience with React
• Strong testing practices, including integration tests against real databases and failure-mode/fault-injection testing
• Experience working with AI coding assistants as part of daily development
• CI/CD application creation and maintenance skills
• Solid understanding of full stack development, with the ability to contribute to frontend work when needed
• Substantial background working with large, complex systems
• Ability to overlap US business hours
• Bachelor's degree required
